THE UNSUNG HEROES Often, we witness learners excelling in external examinations, thriving in competitions, and achieving remarkable success. Early years learners amaze us with their confident presentations, even when they momentarily forget their lines—they still manage to shine. In children's departments in churches, we see young ones delivering outstanding presentations with poise and excellence. It's wonderful to celebrate the children for their performances, but it’s equally important to recognize those who work tirelessly behind the scenes—the teachers and instructors who make it all possible. As teachers, we often see our students perform exceptionally in competitions and presentations. While it’s great to applaud the children for their hard work, let us not forget to honor the amazing individuals who dedicate countless hours to their success. Teachers are the ones who endure sleepless nights, praying, planning, and ensuring every child is well-prepared. They guide learners to recite confidently, perform seamlessly, and overcome stage fright. So, here’s a heartfelt “kudos” to every teacher who puts in the effort to ensure their students become high achievers in both internal and external competitions. Teachers are extraordinary! No debate! #unsungheroes #Teachersaregreat

As I celebrate my 3rd Teachers Day today. I'd like to talk about my journey. Being a teacher, your efforts often get unnoticed. Your students want to learn from you, but they a lot of times are unwilling to listen to your advice. Yet, you don't stop helping. Oftentimes, your best effort doesn't lead to a successful result for your students. Yet, you don't stop trying. Many times, your hard work doesn't see the light of the day. Yet, your efforts do not fade. On quite a few occasions, your fruitful results don't get appreciated. Yet, you keep on imparting your gift. And, for the majority of days, you carry the burden of emotions, expectations, and future of people in this world. Yet, you don't tired and keep showing up with your chin up. You are a warrior and builder of this world. Do not let anybody else tell you otherwise. Happy Teachers Day to all the teachers out their. #teachers #trainers #learn

We forget to give kids experiences We lock them in same structure, Same curriculum, Same systems. Kids develop a narrow way of living, They can hardly gel with others, They have limited understanding of the world. Hence we quit the race to find our own way of living and learning. —————- To know more subscribe to our newsletter (link in comments)

We had an inspiring and informative teacher orientation week led by Kate Nevenglovska our new secondary principal, setting the perfect tone for teaching and learning this year, all rooted in the IB philosophy. One exercise that really resonated with me was surprisingly simple: we were asked "Can you share some of the most memorable moments you had in the classroom, when we were students?" Here are five alternative questions to look at: 1. Can you share your best learning experience? 2. What are some of your favourite memories from your time in school? 3. Are there any particular experiences in school that you look back on fondly? 4. What lessons or moments from your school days stand out the most to you? 5. Which classroom experiences had the biggest impact on your love of learning? And finally, we were asked if we can be that one teacher, that stayed in our own memory. In a room filled with passionate teachers, hearing everyone's stories and motivations reminded me that education is so much more than a curriculum—it's about connection, growth, and sparking curiosity. Ready to take this energy into the new school year and make every lesson count! Are you too? #teachingwithpurpose #ibphilosophy #inspiration #education #newschoolyear #learningtogether

What if... 💡The outcome of upcoming national curriculum review is that children can make choices about their learning and the curriculum is focused on showing children what they can do rather than what they cannot.💡 ❓Would we see more creativity? ❓Would we see more curiosity? ❓Would we see an increase in attendance? ❓Would we see an increase in teacher recruitment? ❓Would this create more flexible and adaptable adults for the uncertain future ahead? ❓Would we see a greater love for learning across all forms of education? I hope this review not only considers a significant adaptation to the curriculum, but also some alternative thinking about how schools and colleges are used to deliver a different and hopefully varied curriculum that enables true personalised learning opportunities. There has been much mentioned about the missed opportunity for change during pandemic. But the opportunity for change is always now. The aim of my weekly “what if” question is to: ✅ Stimulate conversation ✅ Create connection ✅ Share ideas 👍🏻Like | ⌨️Comment | 🏷️Tag | ♻️Share Over to you!
