Can you believe 4 weeks today will be Christmas Day?! Maybe you're wondering "What’s a Virtual Assistant got to do with Christmas?" 🎄 As a business owner, the festive season often feels like a whirlwind. Tight deadlines, year-end tasks, and planning ahead for time off can leave you with little time to enjoy the build up to the holidays. That's without even factoring in the Christmas shopping, and if you're a parent, the never ending list of school festive events... But here’s the thing: It doesn’t have to be that way. Imagine having a Virtual Assistant by your side to share the load. From handling admin, social media and clearing your To Do list, to simply keeping things ticking over while you focus on your priorities, a VA can transform how you approach the busiest time of year. While it might be too late to change the game for this Christmas, now’s the perfect time to plan ahead for 2025. Start planning now, and by next Christmas, you’ll be thanking yourself for putting the right support in place! 🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻 Featuring a festive coffee on the move, sponsored by a reward voucher from a well known comparison site. I know it's still only November but it's festive drinks and Christmas socks all the way for me from here!

Every year I get reminded of this photo in my memories from my Account Manager days in London! An obvious disagreement with my headset resulted in a distressed and tangled mess in the middle of the office 🤣 It reminds me at this time of year, while many employees are winding down and switching off for the Christmas break... business owners often feel like this photo on the inside! 🫠 👏 Trying to wrap everything up before Christmas 👏 Managing client expectations and honouring team member's (well deserved) time off over the festive period 👏 Accounts, cash flow, and all things financial that seem to be required at the end of the year 👏 Planning for Q1 2025 and a To Do list that already seems endless for the first week back in Jan 👏 Ordering Christmas cards/gifts for team members and clients 👏 Genuinely wondering how you'll go even a couple of days without thinking about the business over the Christmas period! .... that's not to mention all the personal Christmas planning (presents, cards, food shopping, decorations, family plans etc) that needs to happen in advance of the 'Big Day'. Tell me I'm not the only one! 🫠 And I'm sure I've left plenty off that list... Luckily the VAs in our team have been doing an amazing job of supporting our super busy business owners at this time of year, whether it be with their business OR personal task list. And the great thing about VAs? You just know they'll already be planning that first month back of 2025 to try and make your life as easy as possible! 💃🥳 I love love love what we do, but being the business owner myself, I can fully see why there's a need for us when we end up feeling like this picture 🤣 #VirtualAssistant #BusinessOwnerMindset #CEOLife #BusinessOwnerBehindTheScenes

🎁 Christmas Countdown Day 2 🎁 I’m back in the office today, following a sneaky winter getaway to Spain and as we embark on the final three weeks of the year (work wise), here’s some tips on how you can stay focused, amidst the Christmas lights, gift guides and fuss of the festive season. ✔️Set your daily tasks- I love to write a list every morning, but I love crossing off the tasks even more ⏰Block your time. Creating blocks in your calendar and setting mini deadlines helps to ensure you stay on track and focused. 🎉 Resist the urge to over-commit. Christmas is a time of plans, seeing friends and closing out the year with clients, but you can only do so much. Prioritise who you want to see and what plans are most important, and leave some catch-ups until January! ⏳ Use your time wisely. Seeing the Christmas lights in Central London on a Saturday when 10,000 other people are shopping, taking photos and let's be honest, walking slow is not a great use of time! Use your weekends to recharge and rest and stop by the lights on your commute home during the week! 📱Limit social media and online distractions. Christmas brings lots of content and sometimes oversharing. Set a limit on the amount of time you spend on social media and make sure you're living in the moment and not through the eyes of Instagram reels! Share your top tips for staying focused in the comments too!

When are you finishing work for Christmas? Or have you already finished? Or do you not finish at all? As a business owner and employer, you never really switch off. This year, a lot of businesses seem to be finishing today (Friday) rather than make their teams work for two days next week. The way Christmas falls this year means that many people will get at least one week off (rather that the stop-start nature of having the holiday fall on a weekend). I’m grateful to have great clients, and me and my team have done everything we need to, to make sure there are no surprises over the festive season. At 4pm today, my out-of-office message will be on, as will my team’s, and we’ll be taking a rest over Christmas. My retained clients know that I can be contacted in emergencies, but that’s all. We are starting the festivities this evening with pizza and drinks with our neighbours, followed by the reopening of the local pub. I have a few plans over the next couple of weeks, and I’m sure I’ll share these on social media. However, if today is your last day in the office, then have a great Christmas. #OutOfOffice #LastDayBeforeChristmas #BusinessOwnership

I get it. It’s Christmas, and it’s a slow month. Ultimately you can't force people to close on your timeline. But as someone who works in Sales, you gotta do what you gotta do to fill in the gap. Professionally, of course. So here’s my blueprint: 1️⃣ Don’t Be That Person 🎄 (Re: Read the Room, it’s Christmas) Let’s face it, most people won’t sign. And if you push too hard, you’re not closing deals, you’re closing doors. Send a laid-back Christmas wish instead: “Hope your holidays are stress-free and your 2024 inbox isn’t scary. ” Smooth. 2️⃣ LinkedIn Is the Party 🎉 Nobody’s checking emails. People are “OOO until Jan 5th” (translation: doom-scrolling LinkedIn, cause it’s still a social media afterall). Slide into DMs like you belong there: “Hey, popping in to wish you happy holidays. Let’s tee something up before Q1 kicks off?” No cringe, just connection. 3️⃣ Deadlines, But Make Them Festive 🎁 You still have a week before Christmas actually come, so squeeze it while it last. Sprinkle in some magic and emphasize the good benefits if prospects signs before EOY: “Let’s wrap this up before EOY. I’ve got some solid perks waiting under the tree.” Think of it as a holiday gift from you. The Move? Be helpful and keep it festive. Deals might come later, but relationships? They’re forever. What approaches have worked for you so far in this festive situation? #SeasonsSellings #RelationshipFirstSales #AuthenticBizGrowth
