Hello Colleagues, Connections, and Friends! The CohnReznick LLP Charlotte office CARES initiative for July has been collecting donations for Classroom Central. Through their partnerships, each $1 donated becomes $9 worth of distributed supplies for students in our community. These donations give students the supplies they need for a successful school year. Every dollar donated (via the link below) through the end of the day today will go to purchasing kits that will be given to local students in need. We will assemble these kits ourselves, and deliver them to Classroom Central next month. Please consider making a small (or large) donation to our local students and teachers! Consider this insight from a 3rd-grade teacher in Charlotte: "There are always unseen challenges for students. As teachers, we strive to understand and address the struggles they face outside the classroom. When kids live in poverty and high-stress environments, focusing on learning to read or understand fractions becomes incrementally more difficult, not to mention the stress of worrying if they can get the necessary books and supplies they need to complete their homework and lessons. With the help of Classroom Central, I can alleviate at least one of their stressors, making it easier for them to feel capable and successful while they're at school." Thank you for any and all donations!! <3 https://lnkd.in/gQezNchQ

For the month of July, our Who I Am Foundation volunteers in #Albuquerque are hosting our 11th Annual Back-to-School Supply Drive to help children in need begin the school year with all of the tools they need for academic success. With so many uncertainties about how children will return to school and what the classroom will look like, they need your help more than ever. Families with children in K-12 spent a projected $519 per child on back-to-school needs last year. For families in low-income neighborhoods, the costs are simply not realistic. Donating new school supplies to children in disadvantaged communities will make an impact on their ability to begin the school year school-ready. Items we are collecting: -Pencils -Pens -Composition Books -Combination Locks -Scientific Calculators -5-Subject Notebooks -Tissues -Hand Sanitizer -Wet Wipes -Trapper Keepers -Colored Pencils -Markers -Protractors -Paint Sets -Glue Bottles -Notebook Paper -Highlighters -Scissors -Sharpeners -Pocket Folders To donate, simply comment below and we'll have a volunteer coordinate a donation pick up!! #TeamWhoIAm_Albuquerque

Disrupt Gives is supporting a great cause! Did you know that nearly 20,000 in SBISD are considered economically disadvantaged? These students have families who make difficult choices on where to use their resources, and pencils, pens, notebooks, and highlighters are not always near the top of the list. As funding shrinks and economic challenges grow, our campuses and our teachers are unable to fill those gaps. That 's where Spring Branch Education Foundation and generous donors can step in to help. Distupt Gives has joined SBEF School Supplies Co-Chairs, Becky Fenn, and Kristi Robishaw, as they continue to equip Spring Branch ISD students with the tools they need to successfully start the school year. $15 can provide school supplies for a student $330 can provide school supplies for an entire classroom of elementary school students $1,650 can provide school supplies for an entire elementary school grade level Please consider making a donation to SBEF's Project School Supplies https://lnkd.in/gRc7YS2t #nonprofitssupportingnonprofits #sbef #sbisd #students #schoolsupplies

For most of us, it's probably not normal to spend our own money just to do our job. For teachers, unfortunately it is. Teachers spend an average of $860 out of pocket on school supplies each year so their students won’t go without. At AdoptAClassroom.org, we help teachers get the funding they need to equip students with essential learning tools and materials, without having to dig into their own pockets. If you’re interested in learning more about what we do or how you can help, visit us at https://lnkd.in/gTWVNK9c BONUS: This week is Teacher Appreciation Week. If you’d like to show your support for teachers with a donation, donations to AdoptAClassroom.org will be DOUBLED all week*, so your dollar will make an even bigger impact. The "Book On Resumption" is a charitable initiative seeks to raise awareness about the importance of literacy. We mobilize individuals and groups to donate notebooks to children when schools reopen, guaranteeing that every child receives new notebooks regardless of their socio-economic background. Book on Resumption is a non-profit project committed to fostering children's education by providing books to enhance their academic performance and improve learning outcomes The "BookOnResumption" project aims to addresses a very significant issue face by numerous students: the lack of access to notebooks. This obstacle impedes their learning effectiveness, completion of assignments, and full participation in classroom activities. Why??? From the recent inaugural of Book On Resumption in 2023, we assessed that each class of 50 about 30 students do not have complete notebooks which shows that 60% of the students are affected. Call-To-Action We're kindly seeking your donation and share our work with others!!!
