There's a 'significant' market for #offshorewind fixed-bottom foundations at depths up to 120 metres, beyond the range of conventional technologies, says consultancy BVG Associates Entrion Wind WindEurope WORLD FORUM OFFSHORE WIND (WFO) International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) #windpower #renewableenergy
Lol, it's nice when consultants are out there trying to market products for their clients, isn't it.
An interesting point of view though questionnable given the current trend of supply chain and economics: perhaps should we ask ourselves if those transitional mid deep conditions are yet competitive and to be considered for offshore wind development?
There is also a significant market for flying cars. Its just not really feasible from an economical or practical point of view.
I have a question: why stopping at 120m? Why not 300?
