As a founding partner of Technology Community for Racial Equality (TC4RE), ResourceiT is committed to work towards creating a more inclusive industry for everyone.
It is devastating to see such violence and hate going on in the UK at the moment and shows that while we may believe we live in an inclusive country, that does it’s ‘best’ not to be racist, it is still ever present.
It is essential to reaffirm the core beliefs that unite our community and our industry. This guide from TC4RE gives some thought provoking reflections, tips for what you as an individual or as a business can do.
Please take a moment to read, reflect on its message, and share it with anyone who might need a reminder that they are not alone.
ResourceiT is here, as a business we will never stand for discrimination, and every individual that works in our business will always strive to learn, grow and be better when it comes to inclusivity.

Community is where strength and joy are multiplied! I was blessed to be a part of the Soul Sesh - panel discussion this past weekend, at the Women's Well Experience.
This was a "Fresh Fire" weekend, where women of all ages came together. It really showed the power of unity, sharing, and coming together.
How does being part of a community strengthen your faith? Let's celebrate our bonds by sharing in the comments below! 🎉
If you're not on my email list and would like to receive my newsletters - which cover tips for business owners on Mind, Body, and Spirit, please let me know... send me a DM!

“I just thought, ‘Wow.’ I was very surprised by the outcome but very grateful that people value the hard work that's been done recently. So overall, I was very excited."

I’m excited to share my latest work with RepresentWomen!
"International Recognition and Women’s Political Representation: An Analysis of Five Unrecognized States"
The brief details women’s political representation in unrecognized states often ignored in international discourse. These states function much like recognized ones, with organized governments, election systems, economies, and social services. As a result, the rules and systems impacting women's political opportunities in these states merit examination.
Some states in this brief outperform most recognized countries regarding gender equality and women's representation, making "international recognition" not required to advance women's representation in those territories.
The case studies further explore how systems-level factors, such as election rules, voting systems, culture, international recognition, and state obligations, create opportunities for more women to be elected in the region.

Todays, National Women of Colour in Policing conference was exceptional!
The list of amazing speakers, some of whose experiences reminisce with me at so many levels.
Thankyou all for sharing your stories. What is now a chapter in your life, is a living hope for others.
What have I taken from this?
1. Microaggression is not acceptable. It is real and it does happen. Address the negative behaviour when it occurs without fear and learn to let it become "background noise". Move on!
2. Imposter syndrome, understand why it's happening and navigate your own success.
3. Allyship. Create trusted networks, whether that's locally, regionally or nationally.
4. Pave the way for women of colour. Help open those doors and make sure they're left open.
Thankyou NWOCiP.
