Thara Gopalan and Aastha Chawla joined the International Centre for Dispute Resolution® (ICDR) team at #NYAW for the latest International Symposia on Advanced Case Management Issues, a one-day mandatory training for all international arbitrators seeking appointment on cases.   This year’s program was expertly led by Edna Sussman and J. Brian Casey FCIArb, offering participants invaluable insights into critical issues that arise in international arbitration, including the ICDR's international mediation offering.   We’re excited to continue the conversation at the Asian iteration of the ICDR Symposia in 2025.

The International Centre for Dispute Resolution® (ICDR) the international division of the American Arbitration Association held its International Symposia in Advanced Case Management Issues in New York on November 18th. This program which is required for all ICDR international arbitrators that are on its international panel follows a mock licensing disputes and includes a video of an international preliminary hearing covering many of the issues that arbitrators may encounter in an ICDR arbitration. The course covers a number of scenarios where best practices and the ICDR Rules, policies and how to work and coordinate with the ICDR are discussed. This class was led by Edna Sussman and J. Brian Casey FCIArb and we were joined by my AAA-ICDR colleagues, Thara Gopalan, Thomas Ventrone, Fernada Flores, Ana Lombardía, Aastha Chawla; Erin Brennan, Carolina Lana, LL.M. and Miroslava Schierholz. It was an interesting day of discussions regarding the ICDR system and the various best practices that international arbitrators may employ when appointed for these cases.

THAC Thailand Arbitration Center Center Seeks Public Feedback on THAC Arbitration Rule Amendments https://lnkd.in/g6Me2Kun The Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC) is inviting the public to participate in a survey to gather feedback on proposed amendments to the THAC Arbitration Rules. In order to improve efficiency and reduce costs of the arbitration process, THAC is in the process of seeking comments from stakeholders to commence drafting of the second edition of the arbitration rules before public consultation. In this process, we invite all stakeholders to contribute to the development of the second edition of the aforementioned rules.
