Ultimately, the essential imperative for national housing policy must always be a laser-beam focus on delivering tangible results that can be most deeply felt by those most desperately in need in our distressed communities. That, above all else, should be our North Star for national housing policy reform, our guiding principle, our roadmap. Let us find common ground to create a reformed national housing policy that produces not just good buildings but good homes, not just good tenants but good citizens, and not just foundations that support brick and steel, but foundations that support thriving communities.
