The Department for Communities has published its Housing Supply Strategy (2024 – 2039). This sets out an ambition of delivering at least 100,000 homes. That, above all else, should be our North Star for national housing policy reform, our guiding principle, our roadmap. Let us find common ground to create a reformed national housing policy that produces not just good buildings but good homes, not just good tenants but good citizens, and not just foundations that support brick and steel, but foundations that support thriving communities.
