I want to highlight this awesome feature that GE systems have called “V-Plane” I’m sure everyone is familiar with Biplane; GE’s V-plane feature creates a second image that allows you to adjust the elevation plane up to 45deg either direction. In this video, I adjusted the V plane posteriorly to reveal this beautiful shot of the coronary sinus and how it courses behind the MV annulus, you can even see the posterior cardiac vein!

Single detector for VIS-SWIR (400-2500nm) is a breakthrough in airborne hyperspectral imaging! Improved spectral analysis now possible with SAVI-1000 as raw imagery does not require any resampling or modification to match between separate VNIR and SWIR detectors. Below profiles are for a single pixel, no spatial / spectral binning applied. Data acquired at 10,000 feet AGL. #Hyperspectral #AirborneSurvey #HSI

With a few papers being published, it seems like a good week to check in with one of our projects at Knexus; ITM (In the Moment) sponsored by Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). The ITM project deals with creating an autonomous decisionmaker that can align with the values/preferences of a human decisionmaker in the domain of battlefield triage. The Knexus team (JT Turner, John Meyer, Michael Floyd, Justin Karneeb) has worked alongside with Parallax Advanced Research and Drexel University to produce a high fidelity medical simulator that is able to be used inside of a Monte Carlo simulator to explore not only immediate actions, but the outcome of a series of actions in this complex domain. The team recently had 2 papers published in ICCBR 2024(“Aligning to Human Decision-Makers in Military Medical Triage”, “Counterfactual-Based Synthetic Case Generation”), and one in the AAAI-SS24 (“Algorithmic Decision-Making in Difficult Scenarios”). Great job team! #ArtificialIntelligence #CaseBasedReasoning #SmolMedSim
