Congratulations to Stagecoach Group Limited for reaching a key milestone in the company’s strategy to electrify its buses and coaches. 👏 👏 👏 One of Britain’s most-recognised transport companies has announced 15% of its fleet is now powered by electric, and that figure is expected to increase. 🚍 ⚡ The investment follows Stagecoach’s success in being rewarded funding through the schemes; Zero-Emission Regional Bus Areas (Zebra) and the Scottish Zero Emission Bus Challenge Fund (ScotZEB). Melbourne-based JET Charge, co-founded by Tim Washington and Ellen Liang, secures AUD 72 milion in funding to propel Australasia’s transition to electric vehicles (EVs). The round was led by Mirova, via its Energy Transition Fund 6 (MET6), with participation from Clean Energy Finance Corporation, RACV, and Kilara Capital. Since 2012, JET Charge has delivered over 20,000 EV chargers and accessories, pioneering infrastructure from households to highways. This investment will accelerate their Charging as a Service (CaaS) model, scaling advanced technologies like CORE and Illuminate to remove barriers to EV adoption across Australia and New Zealand. Swedish boatbuilder Candela has completed its Series C funding round, raising an additional $14m (€13m) from SEB Private Equity and existing investors EQT Ventures and KanDela AB, bringing the total raised in 2024 to $40m.
