It identifies challenges and barriers and proposes actions to tackle that. The #RenewableCarbonInitiative believes this initiative is crucial to reaching #netzero and reducing reliance on fossil resources. Today, we have published a position paper which urges the European Commission to prioritise three key actions: 1️⃣ 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀: Ensure consistency across EU initiatives on #RenewableCarbon, including #biomass, #recycling, and CO2-based sources. 2️⃣ 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱: Policies must drive demand for renewable carbon feedstocks to create a globally competitive industry. 3️⃣ 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗵: Support the shift from fossil-based to renewable carbon feedstocks in manufacturing, ensuring a #sustainable transition. Let's accelerate the shift to renewable carbon for a more competitive and sustainable EU! 💡🌱 Find the RCI position paper here: https://lnkd.in/e4tnSi38 #Defossilisation #ChemicalIndustry #EUCompetitiveness #Biomanufacturing #CircularEconomy #GreenTransition #RCI
