As We Approach the End of the Year…🔽 It’s hard to believe we’re already wrapping up another incredible year at Dickie Enterprises, LLC Representing 28 top-tier kitchen equipment brands across South Texas has been a journey filled with partnerships, challenges, and successes. This year has also been one of personal growth. I gained a little weight🫣—let’s call it “living fully”! 🌴 How Explo Brought 1000 Coconuts to SaaStr Annual 🌴 We received a ton of questions on how we pulled off our custom coconuts at SaaStr Annual. Here's the scoop on how we sourced, transported, and served 1000 coconuts at the event: 1️⃣ Sourcing  We partnered with a coconut distributor that was shipping fresh coconuts out from Thailand. The key was finding a source that could handle large quantities while maintaining top quality, ensuring they stayed fresh throughout the event. They also branded all our coconuts with the Explo logo. 2️⃣ Transporting Moving 1000 coconuts across the country wasn’t easy! We coordinated refrigerated transport to get them flown from Miami to SFO while keeping them cool and perfect for drinking. Our team rented a pickup truck and picked up the coconuts from SFO cargo to bring them to the event. The SaaStr team helped refrigerate and bring out coconuts to our booth so they were ice cold. 3️⃣ Opening & Serving Once at SaaStr, we set up a dedicated coconut station at our booth. However, here we ran into a snag. Our machine to open the coconuts showed up fully rusted and damaged, rendering it unusable. With the conference minutes from starting we scrambled to find a solution. After multiple trips to The Home Depot and some exceptional customer service from their associate David, we were able to craft a food safe solution that enabled our team to hammer open and serve all the coconuts onsite! From sourcing to serving, it was an unforgettable experience that left everyone refreshed and energized!
