Welcome to the Weekly Reflection for June 14, 2024. Here's a look at what's new in the Mirror community.
Facts: What's been going on?
We've introduced our ISTELive Mirror Ambassadors! Stop by booth #1464 at ISTE Live 2024, or look for our Ambassadors roaming the floor, wearing their "I reflected today" shirt!

Feedback: What are we hearing?
The Swivl team stopped by TCEA’s Elementary Technology Conference this week, where we heard this thoughtful insight by a member of the Mirror community:
"Not every student has an adult asking them, ‘What did you learn today?’ Mirror may be the only place where they get to reflect on their learning for the day. When you think about low socio-economic areas, you’re building a skill in kids that they might not be able to develop outside of their classroom."

Future: What's up next?
What if all of your students could reflect every day, at any time? What happens when you know not just what your students understand, but how they’re understanding it? How can you evolve your instruction by knowing when your students are in the zone? And what their mindsets are towards their work?
Today, we’re posing these as reflective questions, but our responses are coming soon. Stay tuned for more.
Findings: What are we thinking about?
This week, we’re thinking about the value of doing one thing exceptionally well. With Mirror, we’re committed to going deep into reflection with AI. By building reflective technology that can evolve our mental dialogue, we believe we can unlock new potential for personal and organizational growth.
Part of our belief comes from the insights we’re gaining about reflection, as we see its impact on Mirror users. For instance, we’ve realized that reflection itself is a hidden lesson, with its own set of paradoxes to resolve. Though it is often viewed as an individual act, it’s a pathway to resolving the paradoxes we all encounter.
As more and more people use reflective technology to learn the hidden lessons of life, new opportunities emerge to catalog and teach these lessons proactively. For the first time ever, we may be able to connect the dots looking forward, not just backward.
