With the E-Cigarette and FDLI conferences this week, I'm looking forward to collective discussions within the industry on ways to bridge the gap between science and regulation to improve public health with alternative nicotine products. Throughout my career, from developing groundbreaking products to navigating intricate regulatory frameworks, I have learned the importance of aligning scientific innovation with robust regulatory compliance. Our team at Reynolds is deeply committed to strategies that not only meet regulatory requirements but also actively shape the industry landscape. This forward-thinking approach ensures that our efforts to reduce the harms of smoking adhere to the highest standards of scientific integrity and public health protection. Advancing THR could deliver one of the most monumental and sustainable public health achievements of our time, and these conversations are crucial for fostering an environment where scientific progress and regulatory policy work hand in hand to deliver potentially reduced-risk products to adult smokers. 💉The legacy of medical mistreatment still casts a long shadow. Let's acknowledge the past and build a future of transparency and inclusivity in research. 💊The Tuskegee Syphilis Study and the Henrietta Lacks case are stark reminders of historical injustices in medical research. These events have created deep-rooted mistrust among minoritized communities. To rebuild trust, we must: ✅Acknowledge the past: Openly discuss the harms caused by past medical abuses. ✅Prioritize transparency: Be clear and honest about research goals, risks, and benefits. ✅Engage with communities: Build relationships based on mutual respect and understanding. ✅Center equity: Ensure that clinical trials benefit all populations. By addressing these issues, we can work towards a future where everyone has equal access to the benefits of medical research. #Clinicaltrials #ClinicalTrialEnrollment #DiversityInTrials --- 🔥I help organizations speed up diverse enrollment by bridging gaps between communities and crucial research. Let's connect!
