Students from Steelton-Highspire Senior High and Mechanicsburg High School are enrolled in HACC’s Stand Up, Take action, Expect great things, Put in the Work (STEP) Academy. What does this mean for these students? Ninety percent of their course fees are being paid for by the HACC Foundation, courtesy of a generous donation from the Justamere Foundation. HACC’s STEP Academy is a training program that teaches students career-readiness skills like conflict resolution, leadership and interpersonal communication. The students will work towards several professional certifications, including the National Career Readiness Certification (NCRC) and OSHA 10 Safety training.
