My high-level plan would look something like this.... (i) Leverage Australia’s rich natural resources responsibly, including coal and uranium, and invest in nuclear energy to lower costs and reduce dependency on imports. (ii) Prioritise skilled migration to fill critical roles, especially in trades and technology, while encouraging young Australians to pursue practical careers. (iii) Simplify regulations and lower taxes, especially for small and medium enterprises, to foster local growth and attract global investment. (iii) Shift focus back to essential skills and practical knowledge, moving away from ideologically-driven curriculum to prepare students for real-world success. (iv) Maintain strict border control, boost manufacturing independence, and support self-sufficiency in critical goods. (v) Promote common-sense policies and support independent media to diversify viewpoints and focus on a practical, stable government. (vi) Build stronger economic and strategic ties with like-minded nations, particularly in the Indo-Pacific. In essence, the Coalition’s plan would aim to cut through ideology, boost Australia’s self-reliance, and build a thriving, independent economy. A Trump-style shake-up requires courage to challenge the status quo, disrupt entrenched bureaucracy, and focus on tangible, results-driven goals. As Donald Trump was getting ready to become President, the stock market reacted positively, especially for electric vehicles. Tesla's shares jumped by an impressive 11%, showing that investors were optimistic about the future of electric cars under his leadership. This excitement was part of a more significant trend, with the S&P 500 futures reaching an all-time high, indicating that people had a lot of confidence in the overall market. Additionally, futures for smaller companies, known as the Russell 2000 index, rose by 5.6%. This increase was driven by hopes that American companies would benefit from new business incentives and tariffs aimed at encouraging production in the U.S. Investors believed these policies would create a better environment for companies focusing on making things domestically, which helped push the market higher during this change.

One of the chief problems we have in American politics (and is a significant reason why the Democrats lost this election) is the same type of problem I write about in my children's books, where I use chess as a means for teaching kids about cognitive flexibility. It is impossible to become a good chess player without learning how to see the board from your opponent's point of view. When your opponent makes a given move, he has a plan. He sees (or thinks he sees) something, and if you move without trying to understand that perspective, you may fall into a trap. You need to adapt your own plan around what you learn from examining the board from your opponent's point of view. Unfortunately, there are many power structures in place that do not want their followers to do this. Doing so strips the powers that be of their ability to manipulate them using fear and anger against an "other" than is bad, foolish, uneducated, fill-in-the-blank. Both political parties are guilty of this. But in this particular election, the Democrats unwillingness to understand and adapt to the reasons for why people might choose Trump despite him being a convicted felon cost them the election. Potentially the next President of the United States. Yay for us. ===== Sure, she hasn't been recorded saying things as offensive as some. But people who choose gross incompetence and inexperience over offensive competence, well, they deserve what's coming to them. They will get an Administration that enables and tolerates genocidal anti-Semitism like the current one. Just look in the streets of any Democrat led city. Or in any Progressive dominated institution. The horrors we witness today in terms of rampant crime, broken cities, homelessness/drug addiction cycles, illegal immigration and anti-Semitic mobs tolerated and even encouraged were created and enabled by foolish, virtue-seeking and -signalling donors and voters, who listened to sweet lies about tolerance, social justice, diversity, equity and inclusion. It's simply a fact that some states and cities are in good places and directions on all these issues, and others are not. The rest of us can only pray that the fooled and foolish wake up while there is still time.
