Recommend new technologies to improve system performance and reliability. • Ensure feature KPIs / matrices and ensure release objectives are met by delivering high-quality products Skills: Experience with Flutter and Dart, should have developed (test driven) at least 1 application from scratch. Good understanding of asynchronous request handling and partial page updates. Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms and design patterns. Since a year I have noticed that the job openings for Frontend engineer is reducing significantly. When it comes to the role of frontend engineer, everyone is looking for some sort of experience on backend, some database, some backend system design, etc. I’ve rarely seen a JD for a backend engineer who is expected to work on CSS. Most frontend openings are replaced with fullstack role regardless of the fact that most of these companies have enough backend engineers with them. Partly, we’re to be blamed too. After learning the basic of UI we think nothing else is there and we try to venture to the backend domain. Even with the known fact that the UI is the most significant part of any product, people just underestimate the domain of frontend engineering. We’ve seen and idolized many software engineers through the world who have worked with frontend for 30+ years and have brought invaluable contributions to making the web beautiful. Of course knowing basics of backend is essential for frontend engineers. And as a computer engineer it’s good to learn everything that involves computer. But it’s good to have a focus on some aspect and be good at it. Frontend is beautiful, it’s vast, so don’t let the job market fool you. Fight for your right and your interest before going ahead and learning what you genuinely aren’t much interested about. My firm believe is that in terms of quality of a product or tech, a fullstack engineer can’t bring to a table the same thing that a frontend and backend engineers individually can.
