First week on the phones as an SDR. No meetings booked. 1:1 with my manager? It felt like a disaster. But 0 meetings doesn’t mean 0 progress. It means you’re learning the process, adapting to the flow, and building resilience. If you’re in tech sales, you know it takes time to turn cold outreach into booked demos. This groundwork is the foundation of your journey. Keep going. The reps you’re putting in now will pay off later. Progress is progress, even when it’s not visible yet. Rome wasn’t built in a day Yours Truly, Mr.Illseeyouathetop 🙂↔️REPOST if you can relate
The best thing about progress is it doesn't have to be in the same activity. If we've got no booked meetings, we can practice goal calling. If we're unsure what to do, review and refine our fundamental skills needed to be successful. Unfortunately we're all strapped on time with they're only being 24 hours in a day, so we need to create that progress wherever we can.
Progress is progress, even if it's not immediately visible. ↳For SDRs, it's important to focus on the process and keep pushing forward, even if it feels like you're not making any headway.
The expectations can either weigh us down or be a source of motivation. Give it time. Give yourself time.
It does take time so focus on getting the daily reps, iterating until you find the best approach you resonate with which only happens when you fully understand the problem that you have been assigned to solve. A mentor will help you emotionally through those difficult times when the sound of the deal bell hasn't been rung.
All about resilience and persistency. It is a marathon, not a sprint in sales. But you need to admire progress, especially when the results not reflecting it.
Richard, what a powerful reminder that every call and setback builds the foundation for future wins—growth often starts where results aren’t yet visible!
Nailed it! You can always learn something
As someone who dreads doing outreach, I must say you have one of the toughest jobs in the world. You must be a superhero or something.🤍
Greatness takes time. Always. Trust the process
