🚀𝗣𝗶𝗺𝗽 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗴𝗼𝘀! – 𝗜𝗧 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 🌐 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗴𝗼 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: Cutting-edge algos exploit the latest profit opportunities, and aggressively compete for profits on exchanges. To capitalize, you need to achieve real-time signal generation and reliable execution, resulting in required sub-second trading speeds. 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗜𝗧 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: Achieving optimal trading speeds requires a state-of-the-art IT infrastructure, including up-to-date APIs with streaming capabilities and a suitable database architecture. The key elements are: ⚙️ 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆: The surge in data traffic that accompanies algo trading can overwhelm traditional client-server-based API architectures, which rely on the request-response model. We strongly recommend that you transition to a streaming-based API. 📇 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲-𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: Algorithms must address continuously evolving market data, plus they depend on historical data stored in databases to generate real-time trading signals. To gain seamless, real-time access, you need optimized database structures, using a column-based time-series database architecture. 🏗️ 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝗴𝗼 𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: Generating and executing trading signals—quickly and precisely—calls for deeply integrating with an optimized algo architecture. This includes a DevOps-based self-service infrastructure, along with efficient position, data, and intraday risk management systems. Standardized, scalable processes are crucial to significantly reducing time-to-market for new trading strategies. https://lnkd.in/d8YCsq3g The information in energy markets, including prices, production forecasts, and orderbook data, is evolving at lightning speed. A streaming-based API and suitable database architecture continuously feeds information into algo engines. This enables real-time trading signals to be generated and executed, which are crucial for profitable algo trading. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁? 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗶𝗺𝗽 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗴𝗼𝘀! 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆. 10 out of 10 XA professionals universally agree the 7,0 decimal date format is a pain in the derrière. And I feel for the countless folks writing reports that craft a paragraph of SQL to *accurately* convert XA dates. At least report tools like SEQUEL understand and handle XA dates. I know it will never change. It would have been soooo nice with the release of say R7 if MAPICS Inc had put resources into changing dates over to a real date defined database field. We are left with the "date macro" program AXZDT that will do the job. But, I'm betting most skip over and just do date conversions manually. Like drop the leading Century digit.
