As one of many people who struggle with their mental health, one of the hardest things I've had to learn is to recognise when I'm not doing okay, and to prioritise getting myself back to a point where I can function normally. These photos are only two years apart, but making myself recognise and tackle my issues has shown me progress I never thought was possible. Speaking up is the first step in battling any mental health issue. Voice your struggles and check in with people, it could be what they needed to break through silence. The conversation about mental health issues is one that needs to happen regularly - you never know what someone is going through. #MentalHealthAwareness #MentalHealthMatters
