"The biggest takeaway point of our study is that annual screening beginning at 40 and continuing to at least age 79 gives the highest mortality reduction, the most cancer deaths averted, and the most years of life gained.” A newly published study in Radiology Business provides further confirmation of why it is so important for women to consistently get an annual mammogram beginning at age 40. Early detection saves lives. Visit https://ow.ly/pJb350QGQhT to learn more about routine screening exams, including mammograms. #breastcancer #womenshealth https://ow.ly/XQzQ50QGQhR

🔬 Cleveland Clinic highlights that bleeding is a common complication after a kidney biopsy, with close monitoring needed to prevent severe cases. MD Anderson Cancer Center adds, “The main risk is bleeding. We do everything we can to mitigate that risk.” However, current methods like manual pressure or off-label Gelfoam are unreliable and don’t consistently prevent bleeding. 💡Single Pass, Inc. is the only FDA-cleared disposable electrocautery device that cauterizes deep tissue through a guide needle, effectively sealing the biopsy channel to prevent bleeding. This allows patients to recover quickly and go home right after sedation. As a patient, I want my physician using Single Pass, Inc.—the only proven tool to minimize bleeding risks. Hospitals should adopt this for safer outcomes. #MedicalInnovation #PatientSafety #SinglePass #KidneyBiopsy Learn more at https://www.singlepass.co/

Today is a significant day for women’s breast health! 🎉 Starting today, September 10, 2024, mammography facilities are required to inform patients whether their breasts are classified as "dense" or "not dense." If you receive a report indicating dense breasts, it's essential to follow up with your healthcare provider to discuss further imaging options like ultrasound or MRI. This new regulation empowers women to take control of their breast health and ensure they get the screenings they need! 💪💗 I interviewed Dr. Robin Seitzman from DenseBreast-Info.org, who explained that having dense breasts increases both the risk of developing breast cancer and the possibility of cancer being hidden on a mammogram. Take charge of your health by understanding your mammogram results and seeking additional screenings if necessary. You can read my interview with Dr. Robin Seitzman below! https://bit.ly/3z3zu3v #breastcancerprevention #womenshealth #menopausesupport #womenshealtheducation

🌸 Breast Density Day is here, and it's time to prioritize your health! 💬 Did you know that dense breast tissue can make it harder for mammograms to detect potential issues? If you have dense breasts, you may be at a higher risk for breast cancer. That’s why it’s crucial to talk to your doctor about your breast density. ✨ Why ask? Breast density affects how breast cancer shows up on a mammogram, making it more challenging to spot early. By knowing your breast density, you and your doctor can choose the best screening method. ✨ Why ultrasound matters: For women with dense breasts, ultrasound screenings provide a clearer picture, improving detection. At Eve Wellness, we combine advanced ultrasound technology with AI to make sure no detail goes unnoticed. Take control of your health today and ask your doctor about breast density and if an ultrasound screening is right for you! #BreastDensityDay #DenseBreasts #BreastHealth #EarlyDetection #UltrasoundScreening #AIInHealthcare #BreastCancerAwareness #WomensHealth #EveWellness #KnowYourBreasts #PreventionIsPower

🌎 Today is World Dense Breast Day 🌎 Breast density impacts so many lives since it can lead to missed cancers and later-stage diagnoses. In addition to the direct role it plays for women and their families, it’s also important to acknowledge the effect breast density has on healthcare systems and society. Breast density influences: ➤ Screening practices ➤ Diagnostic accuracy ➤ And treatment costs Higher breast density makes it more challenging to find cancers in mammograms, prompting additional imaging and biopsies. This increased complexity can also lead to disparities in access to care. Ultimately, breast density has implications beyond individual patients. It impacts public health and incurs significant economic and societal costs. So today, let’s empower ourselves to achieve a better understanding of breast density, which will enable more research, innovation, and improved approaches to screening and save lives. Here is a link to learn more about breast density: https://lnkd.in/eCAZ73bz 💕 I look forward to seeing the information you share with the world today. #WorldDenseBreastDay #mammography #breastcancer

Did you know that about 40% of women aged 40+ have dense breast tissue? Dense breasts make cancer detection more challenging, and more than 70% of breast cancers occur in patients with dense tissue. This #WorldDenseBreastDay, we’re raising awareness of breast density and dense breast as a risk factor for breast cancer. Awareness and education are crucial in ensuring women have access to comprehensive breast care. Automated breast ultrasound (ABUS), a standardized, supplemental examination and increases the detection rate of breast cancer specifically in dense breasts. Invenia™ ABUS transforms breast care from reactive to proactive, offering personalized breast care for early detection and confident diagnoses. The FDA Mandate on Breast Density Inform law goes into effect on 10th September. Which technologies could be offered to provide supplemental screening for women with #densebreasts? 👉 Invenia ABUS is the first FDA approved ultrasound supplemental screening technology for dense breasts 👉 Impactful evidence demonstrates additional cancer findings. ABUS picks up invasive cancers at an early and treatable stage. Those cancers would have been missed with mammography 👉 It's using latest #ultrasound technology from #GEHealthCare supported by #AI assistant to reduce reading time by 33% 👉 And most important: 100% of women would recommend the non-invasive ABUS to their best friend.
