Research this week has revolved around school tuition. I found an interesting dissertation written by Allen Aulick. He did a survey of accredited private secondary schools to discover what their main revenue sources were. One (of the many) interesting parts was this: Small schools account for almost 15% of their operating income through fund-raising; medium-sized schools receive 11.11% of their operating income from fund-raising: large schools receive slightly more than 7% from fund-raising. The amount of income received through fund-raising activities appears to vary in inverse proportion to the size of the school. The larger the school, the less income is attributable to fund-raising activities. If you work at a school, does this hold true for your organization? What percentage of your budget is fundraising? For religious schools in particular, how much should we rely on fundraising? Any thoughts would be helpful to share.

“The one who plants trees, knowing that he will never sit in their shade, has at least started to understand the meaning of life.” ― Rabindranath Tagore Nothing gives life meaning than living for a cause bigger than you. The cause becomes better when it leaves humanity better than you found it. Every person you encounter should be a better version of themselves than you found them . Every child deserves a chance to dream and achieve their potential. The meaning of life to a child begins in the corridors of schools, where a responsible human is groomed. Nevertheless, countless children face barriers that frustrate their hope of getting a decent education. Most of them who come from poor backgrounds end up staying at home due to financial constraints. The lucky ones meet well-wishers, churches, and non-profit organizations who sponsor their education. To others, it becomes an end to their education. It was in the heart of the founder Jenga Bridges Foundation to help these children by paying for their fees. After doing this for a while the burden became bigger than she could bear, hence the birth of the Foundation. Numerous people are willing to help but don’t have access to the children. With Jenga Bridges Foundation, well-wishers consolidate to meet the needs of these children. Join us in this noble cause of building bridges of hope for the future generation. In education, the concept of stationary distribution is about creating a balanced system where resources and opportunities are equally accessible to all students. सेवक‘s play a key role in this process. They help distribute educational materials, provide guidance, and support learning environments, ensuring that every student has the chance to succeed. By focusing on equal distribution, they help break down hurdles of inequality and promote fairness in education. Academic excellence and a warm community: the success of Worcester College today stands on these foundations. We are proud to regularly receive more applications than any other college, to dedicate thousands of pounds annually to ensuring every student flourishes, and to foster an extraordinary multidisciplinary community of world-class academics #WorcesterIsWonderful Why does Worcester need support? Unlike many other colleges, Worcester wasn't founded with a big endowment - but we do have big aspirations! In a time when funding is being cut (each undergraduate costs the College £5,000 annually, despite high tuition fees) and global competition for bright minds is intense, we are committed to maintaining our high standards and high levels of support for those studying here. This is only possible with the help of Old Members and friends like you, giving to the Worcester Fund. What difference will I make? By giving to the Worcester Fund, you allow College the flexibility to direct your donation where the need is greatest. It might be helping a student who falls into financial hardship, supporting a researcher early in their career, or assisting with retrofitting a building to become more eco-friendly. Donations to the Worcester Fund ensure Worcester thrives today and long into the future. Can you support us? Head to our Giving Day site to make a gift https://lnkd.in/ekrgJXJs

A new report analyzing public school enrollments across the country (by state) shows charter schools growing in population while districts are declining. The report focuses on enrollment trends but does not explore why families are choosing charters, however, the preference is clear. Public education is undergoing a ground up transformation.
New report alert! Public charter schools are the only segment of public education that's growing—adding nearly 400K students in the past five years! This new report takes a deep dive into enrollment trends, reflecting broader shifts in education preferences and spotlighting key growth states. Be sure to read National Alliance for Public Charter Schools's latest report to see how shifts in education preferences are shaping the future and where the biggest growth is happening. https://lnkd.in/eVCpZPeS #CharterEducation #Charter #CharterSchools #Education #CharterGrowth #CSGF

This year, 7 additional girls sat for their UACE exams - marking the end of their secondary school journey. These 7, will join the 5 who are already post secondary. Girls Unstoppable Uganda wants to support the education of 1,000 marginalised adolescent girls through secondary school. Yes, we dream of an Uganda where every marginalised adolescent girl has the education, skills, and knowledge she needs to live a life of significance. It costs Girls Unstoppable Ug UGX 2.4M to put a girl through one calendar year of school. Imagine - if you sent in UGX 50,000 a month towards fees of a girl, 4 of you would be able to educate a girl for a year. If you desire to sponsor a girl fully, a monthly donation of UGX 200,000 would be sufficient. We want to use gifts of education to transform individuals, communities and the world.

Despite communities' efforts to create makeshift classrooms, the rainy season threatens their stability, impacting teacher retention and student enrollment. As highlighted by Kofi Asare, Executive Director of Education Watch, Ghana needs 5,000 more school blocks to achieve infrastructure parity in basic education. Join us in supporting these communities and bridging the educational gap through meaningful collaboration. #BuildGhanaSchools #EducationForAllGhana #SupportGhanaEducation #RainproofClassrooms #GhanaSchoolBlocks #BridgeTheEducationGap #InvestInEducationGH #CommunityClassrooms #FutureOfGhana #EmpowerThroughEducation NB: We don't own the rights to the music. Formal Education is Crap! Most education given in school or college is filled with unimportant/filler information and is done to make the syllabus bigger so they could charge you more. They teach you slower, waste your time, teach you things with zero practical implications. 4 years of degree in most cases can be done in 2 years or less but that won’t be a good strategy for these non-profit profiting businesses. I really think people are starving for information that they can really use. #educationsystem
