Once somebody on social media wrote out of frustration that that "your not telling us anything about yourself ( with my posts )." If you an artists and your spending long hours doing your artwork developing your artwork, if you are serious about doing that artwork, your artwork is telling volumes about yourself. Your artwork is talking. Which to an artist says more, a work that you spent time and serious effort on, or something transitory such as a plate of food from a visit to a restaurant with a few words about how good a meal it was? All artwork talks if you learn take the time to look, and know how to listen to the visual arts. If anything I'm guilty of talking too much. As I tell my students,... Talk is cheap. Talk to me with your artwork.

July 2023: Pretty privilege broken down - does it exist in art? What is the real and true value of art? I don’t have a lot of confidence, so I was reluctant to post about this especially since somewhere a small voice of mine is telling me that I didn’t deserve to win in the presentation category. I felt this even when I achieved my grades in GCSE with an ever prevalent feeling that someone who look at my art and say to me I didn’t deserve those grades. Which is why I never really felt comfortable sharing my GCSE art on YouTube in fear of being ousted and found out? Although now I’m trying to realise that I should reduce my inner self critic and try to post and share my successes. Linacre gave me so much confidence and I recommend heavily for everyone to join and take the opportunity. This was my entry for “Big ideas, small spaces” and here were the requirements: Create and film a three minute presentation which showcases one of the Big Ideas from your subject area. Video presentations should follow the standard three minute thesis format rules: ● A single static PowerPoint slide is permitted. No slide transitions, animations or ‘movement’ of any description are allowed. The slide is to be presented from the beginning of the oration. ● No additional electronic media (e.g. sound and video files) are permitted. ● No additional props (e.g. costumes, musical instruments, laboratory equipment) are permitted. ● Presentations are limited to 3 minutes maximum ● Presentations are to be spoken word (e.g. no poems, raps or songs). ● Presentations are considered to have commenced when a presenter starts their presentation through either movement or speech. Thank you The Linacre Institute for believing in me ❤️

【💤 Dreams to Share】Stone Art Discourse I dreamt about being in an art class. It was time for group discussions, and the teacher presented four topics. The teacher said there were four things, which one would you like to be? First option: Stones falling from the sky Second option: Some kind of water (I don't remember the details) Third option: (I forgot what it was) Fourth option: Which celebrity do you want to be? How would you become like them? ___________________ 📕 Read more: https://bit.ly/3V4K02q 📕 More Dream Journal: https://bit.ly/CYC-NPG 💙 Writing your own Dream Journal? https://bit.ly/3QNK9Fb
