Rest and Recovery Planner: Creating a framework for integrating strategic breaks into business schedules 3. Peer Pressure Neutralizer: Designing techniques to overcome the urge to compare progress with others 5. Productivity-Wellness Balance Tracker: Establishing metrics to measure the impact of rest on overall business performance As they worked, GrowthWheel's analytics revealed patterns of successful entrepreneurs who prioritized well-being alongside business growth. Together, they crafted a GrowthPlan that included: - A "Sustainable Success" program integrating GrowthWheel tools with wellness practices - Strategies for reframing rest as a crucial component of long-term business success - A framework for identifying when to push forward and when to step back for recovery This session demonstrated how GrowthWheel could be adapted to address the challenge of balancing ambition with well-being. For most of my life, I have lived on 5 hrs (or less). 😬 I’m up to 7 hrs. ✅ Daily prayer/meditation and devotion to focus my mind and heart. I use a bible app, Jesus Calling by Sarah Young and Hallow. ✅ EOS Worldwide — an entrepreneurial management system that helps ensure the right people are in the right seats working on the right things. Together, we define quarterly rocks and conduct structured weekly meetings to hold us accountable and resolve issues. ✅ Being present and spending quality time with my husband, family and friends — especially our granddaughter. Are you in solitude? Or are you connected to your people? Last week, I came across a LinkedIn post that spoke about “being lonely at the top”. It was the same day that I read an article in Fortune Magazine that spoke about top CEOs feeling lonely. Here are my thoughts, I’d love to hear yours as well. The first and foremost issue about feeling lonely at the top is how the leader sets it all up, to begin with. How many entrepreneurs do we know feel that they need to have it all figured out or think they need to put all the hard work in and get it done themselves? How many leaders look down at their subordinates from their pedestal or ivory tower? How many leaders think they need to show prestige or inflated confidence in front of their teams… or else? Do you see how many instances we can come up with where there is a form of solitude or disconnect? This is what causes lots of leaders and entrepreneurs discomfort. It’s uncomfortable because it’s not within our human nature. As humans and as people, we are designed to thrive in communities, tribes, and among other people. We need "connection" (Just ask Maslow). The more connected we get. The more aligned we are. The more we surround ourselves with high quality and high caliber, strategic income-producing connections - the more satisfied, the better fulfilled, we and our businesses will become.
