Thanks to whoever is his speech writer. By contrast, war criminal and genocide lord Netanyahu was almost a persona non grata at the UN. Most delegates of countries chose not to attend or walked out as he walked in (he had brought a few racist Zionists to attend as audience and to cheer him). But these are side shows to an ongoing GENOCIDE. We live in a world where only strength seems understood and the UN has become a hollow chamber where politicians meet to state their positions and the US and great powers continue supporting genocide. Only thing challenging them is non-state actors (guerrilla forces/liberation movements). Abbas will need to do something different than what he was willing to do for the past 15 years: 1) end corruption (starting with his office then the foreign service then down the line, 2) stop hanging on to the golden chair and to the illusion of Oslo, 3) really implement reconciliation and joint work with Ha.mas and other resistance forces. That would mean no longer holding on to a dictatorial role of deciding the future of the Palestinian struggle by himself while promoting the most incompetent and corrupt people to positions of power. Democracy and transparency are non-negotiable. Why photo opportunity is more important than the substance of a meeting itself? Starting the second day of APEC summit in Peru, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, received a visit from the Prime Minister of Australia, Anthony Albanese, on Thursday, November 14, 2024. Arriving at around 09.25 local time, President Prabowo then invited PM Albanese to one of the restaurants in the hotel for breakfast together. In a relaxed atmosphere, President Prabowo opened the conversation by expressing his gratitude for Australia's support and the representatives who attended his inauguration as President. Recently, Australia's gross domestic product (GDP) of $1.56tn measured in current US dollars, which is substantially larger than Indonesia's GDP of $868bn. In myopinion, it is quite challenging to meet the KPI of any sales visits. However, in drafting any marketing campaign, you need to have "immediate" results to proceed optimally. Posting videos of such meeting as social media update, can be an important strategy to tell stories to wider audience at home that you are "actually working". What do you think? 🌍 Canada is making waves on the global stage, and Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs) are at the heart of it! 🌍 With the support of the International Convention Attraction Fund (ICAF) from Destination Canada, DMOs like Discover Saskatoon and our counterparts from coast to coast are achieving phenomenal outcomes—drawing international conventions that spark economic growth and elevate our communities. ICAF is a testament to Canada’s commitment to competitiveness on the global stage. Without empowered and well-resourced DMOs, bringing these international bids to life and rallying local leaders would be impossible. These organizations are essential partners, mobilizing our cities, sectors, and strengths for opportunities that would otherwise remain out of reach. We're grateful to Destination Canada and the Government of Canada for such a visionary tool that enables DMOs to drive wealth, well-being, and recognition for our cities. While our team’s first bid under ICAF met fierce competition and went to Brazil, we have incredible initiatives in our pipeline that proudly showcase Saskatchewan’s strengths and the brilliance of our local leaders to the world. A fully enabled DMO is not just beneficial—it’s essential for Canadian cities to thrive on a global scale. 💼🌎
