When you post a job listing to popular job sites like Indeed or Seek, your advertisement will not appear directly on a Search Engine 🫣 This is because these job boards do not leverage SEO for individual listings. Instead, only the general Job title will appear in the search engine and candidates must then click through and navigate a flow of similar job listings. Meaning, target candidates might never see your job listing! This should be a key factor to consider if you plan to advertise executive or technically niche positions on job boards. Indeed's (strange) decision to start charging for all job slots, on top of the £100 per month professional page fee, plus the £250 per month CV contact price + the cost of advertising (which can be expensive) per job, is now being seen across the market. For the first time in my career, if you search 'Solicitor' on Indeed in 'Gloucestershire', only 4 staffing Agencies have listed jobs compared to 48 'Employer' listed jobs. It is clear that Recruitment Agencies have decided to re-invest their advertising budget with other providers or tools. We have decided to cancel all contracts with Indeed going forward, the same way we did in Agencies when Total Jobs raised their prices in 2020/2021. Indeed's biggest benefit was that it was free for everyone, meaning that we could show you the full scale of all of our jobs with one instant click. We will now be using our website https://lnkd.in/d8P7DZSh and our front page https://lnkd.in/e7Wd9Tc3 to show which newest positions we are working on. We have also doubled our LinkedIn job slots, meaning that we will now have 11 slots (22 different jobs) sponsored and advertised on LinkedIn every month.
