Q1 Results Are In: OfficeBnB Is Expanding! As we close out Q1, I’m excited to share the impressive progress we’ve made at OfficeBnB. Our platform, originally built as a marketplace for coworking spaces, has rapidly evolved into something much bigger—combining both workspaces and event venues for weddings, corporate parties, birthdays, and more. Whether it's finding a space to collaborate on projects or hosting a large event, OfficeBnB is meeting a growing demand for flexible, creative spaces. 📊 Q1 Highlights Talent Pool: Since June, we’ve seen a significant increase in professionals joining the OfficeBnB platform. We started with 45 members in June and reached 73 by September. This growing talent pool reflects the rising interest from professionals looking for flexible ways to connect with startups and businesses across various industries. Number of Listings: The number of available spaces on the platform has skyrocketed from 2 listings in June to 40 by September, a 20x increase! These listings range from coworking hubs to stunning event venues perfect for weddings, corporate retreats, and social celebrations. Whether you need a place to brainstorm or host a large-scale event, OfficeBnB has it covered. Total Number of Hours Contributed: Our community engagement has been outstanding, with over 375 hours contributed in Q1. From collaborative coworking sessions to large-scale event planning, our members have been highly active, further establishing OfficeBnB as a trusted space provider. 🚀 Pipeline and Future Growth The momentum is only building. With 80+ listings and 17 leads in the pipeline, Q2 promises even more growth. We’re expanding our reach across industries and working with venues to offer more options for both business and personal events—from corporate parties to birthday celebrations. 🌟 What’s Next? As we look ahead, we plan to continue expanding both our coworking and event offerings. With a growing number of startups, professionals, and event hosts joining the platform, OfficeBnB is becoming a one-stop-shop for all kinds of space needs. DAY 2 @ Coworking Europe Conference. My 10 key takeaways from today: 1. Coworking is not (only) a real estate business. This business is all about the people. The building is the platform, and we inject the brand inside - Nir Kelner, CEO of Brain Embassy 2. With the rise of AI and automation, coworking communities remain the hub for real, face to face interactions and real care for people needs - this is part of the service. ❤️ 3. How do you select the right community manager? First, he or she has to have a nice personality. This is everything. 🙂 Second, having experience in the field you plan to attract people from. 4. Expanding to new geographics: you have the have the first hire right. So much depends on the first representative of your brand at a new location. - Ben Nachoom, CEO at OneCoWork - Flexible Workspaces 5. Even though you open a place under the name of a known brand, that only means that you don't have to start from 0 at a new location. There might be some brand awareness, but you have to prove yourself everywhere. - Alexander Mihaylov, co-founder & CEO at betahaus Bulgaria | coworking solutions 6. Office Design 3 key pillars: diversity, functionality (activity based working), human centered - Iwona Barszcz Brand guardian @Brain Embassy. 7. Which is better: to own the building, to lease or to have a management agreement? The answer: it depends. :) All have advantages and disadvantages, if it would be so easy to decide, we wouldn't need smart people to work on it. 8. Rural coworkings: without the clear interest and support from the local municipalities, it doesn't make sense to start anything - Juan Barbed co-founder @ ROORAL 9. You might fuck up. But many of us did. 🌟 Exciting News! 🌟 I’m thrilled to share that our latest research article has just been published! 🎉 This study delves into the fascinating world of coworking spaces (CWS) and explores how personality traits and coworking experiences impact coworker satisfaction. This study is the result of a knowledge transfer agreement between Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) and the Spanish Coworking association Proworkspaces - Asociación. Interestingly, while extroverts thrive, agreeable coworkers don’t necessarily find more satisfaction in CWS. - Experience counts: We discovered a curvilinear relationship between coworking experience and satisfaction, highlighting that the journey in a coworking space is not always straightforward. 💡 Why this matters?: For coworking space owners and managers, understanding these dynamics can help tailor environments that boost satisfaction and productivity. By aligning workspace design with the diverse personalities and experiences of coworkers, we can create more engaging and fulfilling coworking communities. 📈 Advancing theory: This research contributes to the employee-workplace alignment theory, emphasizing the importance of personality-based fit in coworking spaces. Almost 80% of the members of Innovation & Coworking spaces answered to the question “What do you value most about the community?” … …the top mentions were all experience-related aspects: “The great coffee!” “The Burger wednesdays in the restaurant!”  “Our monthly afterwork drinks!” “The community garden.” “Lunch in the restaurant!” “Definitely the coffee machine!” “The music on the toilets.” Experience-led #placemaking for innovation and collaboration spaces recognizes "experience" as the product of a place. Let's shift from the mental frame of “a work environment is all about work”, to "let's create the feeling of excitement"! You are right now developing a hub?
