The more I learn, the better I can apply that knowledge to my work—and the more I do, the more I learn. Working full-time at a hotel has been the perfect learning school for me—giving me hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. But pairing this real-world experience with a course like Cornell University ’s Hotel Management 360 takes it to the next level. It's the perfect blend of learning and doing. It’s about implementing what you know and learning from what you do.

Check out this interesting report on the UK tourism situation
Council for Hospitality Management Education with The Association for Tourism in Higher Education (ATHE) and AEME (Association for Events Management Education) jointly commissioned a report on the future of Tourism, Hospitality and Events (THE) Management education in the United Kingdom (UK), in the context of increased stakeholder pressure and shifting government policy. This paper, published today, sets out the implications of shifting government policy which risks affecting economy, recruitment and adding to skills shortage. It provides directed recommendations aimed to inform and support a successful THE Management education strategy for the future. This report demonstrates the unquestionable value of hospitality as the report projects an upward trend for the next 5 years, with a more significant increase projected for UG courses. The analysis leads to valid insights and recommendations for us to work collaboratively with industry and government. Council for Hospitality Management Education is looking forward with optimism to engaging in conversations and debates on this.
