🌱 The Challenges of Watermelon Farming: Our Experience 🍉 Farming is never easy, and watermelon farming brings its own set of risks. On August 9th, we planted Bahubali Plus seeds from Seamons Seeds, carefully following a strict fertigation, insecticide, and fungicide schedule. Everything was going well until the continuous rains hit us hard. 🌧️ On September 23rd, we identified late blight disease in the field. We took quick action by applying: 1️⃣ Acrobat® Complete (Dimethomorph + Metiram) 2️⃣ Blue Copper 3️⃣ Cabrio Top (Metiram 55% + Pyraclostrobin 5% WG) 4️⃣ Syngenta KAVACH - 75% WP Chlorothalonil Despite our best efforts, downy mildew continued to spread, and by October 4th, all the leaves had fallen off. 🍃 Thankfully, the watermelons had already grown to about 2 kg each, and we were able to sell the crop on October 9th. While it was a tough season, we're grateful for the lessons learned and the harvest we managed to save! 💪 If any scientist has conducted research on managing late blight and early blight in watermelon farming under adverse weather conditions, please share your insights. 🙏 Your knowledge could greatly help farmers like us in dealing with these challenging diseases. #FarmingChallenges #WatermelonFarming #AgricultureLife #FarmerExperience #LessonsInFarming
