🌎 💡 How to increase the use and cross-border sharing of spatial data with a focus on the reference frames problematic was discussed during an interesting EuroSDR’s and EUREF’s joint workshop hosted last week in Tromsø by the Norwegian Mapping Authority. 🤝 🌐 The NGI took part for Belgium, represented by Jeffrey Verbeurgt, the head of our Geodesy service. He presented an overview of the United Nations’ global and regional geospatial initiatives for geospatial management, in particular the mission of the Committee of Experts UN-GGIM and priorities following the annual session UNGGIM14 in August in New York. The presentation provided insights into European perspectives in geospatial data and ongoing reference frame coordination through UN-GGIM: Europe, the Community of Interest on Geodetic Reference Frames (GRF Europe), and the United Nations Global Geodetic Centre of Excellence (UN-GGCE).  #UNGGIM #UNGGIMEurope #GeospatialData #GRFEurope #UNGGCE #EuroSDR #SpatialData #ReferenceFrames #DataSharing

1.9% in STS incident ratio is the smallest percentage ever since 2010 amongst DYNAMARINe clients. Although mooring lines remains a concern, we have managed to reduce actual events regarding mooring failure, due to the STS DRILLS and 3D Mooring Plans, delivered at each STS operation. Our clients in the complete STS service of DYNAMARINe are pioneers in proactive decisions to ensure safety and support not only their reputation but also that of their charterers and oil major organisation's.
