🔥 Day 5 of 30: Are Certifications Overrated in Tech? 🔥 Happy Monday! Today, let’s dive into a controversial topic: Are certifications really worth it in the tech industry? On one hand, certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Certified Kubernetes Administrator can validate your skills and open doors to new opportunities. On the other hand, many argue that hands-on experience and real-world projects are far more valuable and indicative of a person’s abilities. Here are my thoughts: • Pros of Certifications: They provide structured learning, validate your knowledge, and can boost your resume. • Cons of Certifications: They can be expensive, time-consuming, and sometimes don’t reflect practical, on-the-job skills. Personally, I believe if you’re fresher and no idea where to start it will give you a roadmap and also this time investment in your early career will give you a headstarr but I’m eager to hear your perspectives. Have certifications helped your career, or do you find hands-on experience more valuable? Let’s discuss and share our experiences! #30Days30Posts #DevOps #TechCertifications #HandsOnExperience #TechCommunity #ContinuousLearning

Hello Folks as a DevOps Engineer as a fresher. 🚀 Excited to Share My Learning Journey! 🚀 🌟 🚀 On the Journey to DevOps Mastery! 🚀 🌟 🌟 Learning AWS Advanced with My Mentor Shubham Londhe! 🌟 🚀 Exciting Learning at 'TrainWithShubham.com' 🚀 I am thrilled to be diving deep into AWS services as I prepare for my role as a DevOps Engineer. Today, I learned how to create an AWS EC2 template from a previous instance, allowing me to launch 10 to 15 instances directly from the template. This method streamlines the process, saving time and ensuring consistency. A big shoutout to my mentor, Shubham Londhe, and his platform 'trainwithshubham.com' for providing such valuable insights and hands-on training. His guidance has been instrumental in helping me understand and implement these efficient practices. A sincere advice to the freshers/ newbies over linkedin, don’t be overwhelmed with some course sellers here, there are pretty much free content over youtube, medium and here at linkedin articles only. Reading good official documentation and practicing with open source projects is the best way to learn any new tool be it docker, k8s or anything else. This is very much prevalent in DevOps arena, as its easier to make content over it without much effort. #highalert

When I first started my #journey in #DevOps and #Cloud three years ago, I was eager to learn but didn’t know where to begin. The field seemed huge, with so many tools and practices to master. But I knew that with dedication and persistence, I could find my way. Today, with three years of hands-on experience, I want to share my story to inspire students and freshers who are starting their own careers in DevOps and Cloud. In the beginning, I quickly realized that this field wasn’t just about tools—it was about a #mindset. It required understanding both development and operations, and how they could work together smoothly in the cloud. I focused on the basics: learning #Linux, getting comfortable with #Git, and understanding how CI/CD #pipelines work. Every small win, like #automating a build process or setting up a pipeline, fueled my passion to dive deeper. As I gained more experience, I tackled bigger challenges. I started working with cloud platforms like #AWS, learning to deploy and manage infrastructure as code using tools like #Terraform. There were challenges along the way—debugging failed deployments, optimizing pipelines, and ensuring everything was resilient and scalable—but with each one, I grew more confident. One of the most rewarding parts of my journey was learning how to scale applications in #Kubernetes and setting up #monitoring and #logging systems. These tasks were tough, but they taught me the importance of resilience and automation. Throughout my journey, my seniors and mentors played a crucial role. Their #guidance, #support, and #encouragement helped me navigate through #challenges and grow in my career. They not only expanded my understanding but also kept me motivated to keep pushing forward. Looking back, my journey in DevOps and Cloud has been all about growth and learning. With three years of experience, I’ve realized that success isn’t about mastering everything at once—it’s about #persistence, #consistency, and being willing to learn from every challenge. To all the aspiring DevOps and Cloud engineers out there—keep pushing forward. Embrace the challenges, learn from every experience, and remember that every step you take brings you closer to your goals. If you need help or guidance, feel free to contact me. You can reach me on #LinkedIn or #Topmate: https://lnkd.in/egVwet-s. I’m here to support you and share my #experience. Let’s continue this #journey together! Follow me on Medium where I publish DevOps-related articles . https://lnkd.in/gkh-pC4p

Hello #connections I'm learning AWS & DevOps As a fresher stepping into the world of cloud computing and DevOps, I’m excited to be currently learning about *AWS* and *DevOps practices*. It’s been an incredible journey so far, and I’m gaining hands-on experience with key technologies and tools that are shaping the future of software development and operations. --> Key Areas I’m Focusing On: - AWS Cloud Services: Exploring EC2, S3, Lambda, and more to understand how businesses scale and deploy applications in the CLOUD. - DevOps Culture & Practices: Delving into Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD), and the essential tools like Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes that automate and streamline the development lifecycle. - Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Learning how tools like Terraform and CloudFormation help in managing cloud infrastructure efficiently. 🔹 Why This Excites Me: With cloud and DevOps playing a key role in today’s tech landscape, gaining expertise in AWS and DevOps will not only boost my technical skills but also enable me to contribute to more efficient, scalable, and innovative solutions in the future. I’m committed to learning and growing, and I’m eager to connect with professionals in the field. If you have any tips, resources, or opportunities related to AWS and DevOps, I’d love to hear from you! #AWS #DevOps #LearningJourney #CloudComputing #DevOpsTools #Automation #ContinuousIntegration #Terraform #Docker #TechLearning #CareerGrowth

Certificates are overrated. It should be an individual's choice whether to pursue them. Companies shouldn't list certificates as prerequisites in job descriptions. Instead, companies should focus more on the interview process to assess the candidate's knowledge.
DevOps Architect | Kubernetes Expert | System Design Innovator | Multi Cloud Expert | Transforming Ideas into Robust Architectures
Zero, that's the number of certificates I have No, I’m not against certifications, I feel that they are a great tool for systematic learning. In fact, I have helped a lot of folks with their cloud and Kubernetes certificates. However, I never felt the need to get certified. To be honest, I'm not against you doing a certification for the love of the content or you doing a certification by mugging up the dumps. It's fine; it's your call and you are the best judge for yourself. All I'm saying is that if I can become a DevOps Architect with 0 certifications, so can you. Please don’t break your banks on certifications for getting jobs (especially if you are NOT Fresher). Just focus on real projects and you will be 👍
