🚀 Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI) professor Erik Brynjolfsson on 4 things we are getting wrong about AI: 🤖 1️⃣ The goal of AI shouldn't be to imitate human intelligence. That's too narrow. Instead, AI should be used for what machines excel at that humans don't. 💡 2️⃣ There's an amazing gap between technology improvements and institutional adaptation. We need to close that gap by investing more in economics, policy, and understanding the societal implications of AI. 🏛️📊 3️⃣ AI may not immediately improve productivity, but once companies establish new processes and understand the tech, productivity will take off. 📈 4️⃣ The future of AI is not inevitable. AI is a powerful tool, but our choices will shape its direction. Policymakers can set the goals to steer AI toward positive outcomes. ⚖️🔮 What do you think? #AI #Technology #FutureOfWork #Policymaking #Innovation
