Many who know me well know that each year I’m involved with The Harbour Lights Campaign which raises much needed funds for food banks across the region.  Today we were pleased to welcome DP World Canada on board as a sustaining donor to the Campaign.  Starting with the 2024 campaign they will donate $10K a year for 3 years. DP World Canada joins Nutrien who is now in the third year of a 4-year commitment at $50K per year to this vital cause. For this year their contributions together have brought us to a year-to-date total of nearly $232K and we still have a few weeks to go. Sustaining donors are a new feature of the Harbour Lights Campaign and the commitment each of these companies has made provides a source of sustainable funding that food banks desperately need. In an economic climate that is increasingly challenging, our 16 food bank partners tell us that traditionally between one-quarter to one-third of their annual revenue to purchase food comes from the Harbour Lights fundraising effort. This post is a huge thank you to both Nutrien and DP World for stepping up and making a significant commitment to combat tremendous need in our communites and for contributing to stable funding sources for the food banks. We’ve recognized the significant and important commitment of each of these companies in the Partners section on the Harbour Lights website.   https://lnkd.in/eeXjNhGF #foodbanks #community #partnership DP World Nutrien Port Saint John
