Innovative steps towards circular wind energy solutions š” In #BLADE2CIRC, we keep working to redefine the future of wind energy by advancing sustainable solutions for wind turbine blades. After our recent meeting in Madrid, weāre thrilled to share that key milestones have been reached, this time thanks to the innovative efforts of our partner Aitiip Centro Tecnologico. One of the most exciting developments is the application of Covalent Adaptable Networks (CANs), which enable the separation of components for simpler recycling and reuse. This breakthrough is a crucial step towards achieving a circular lifecycle for wind turbine blades, making renewable energy systems more sustainable than ever. Aitiip has also initiated a composite materials and coatings characterization plan. This effort focuses on optimizing materials with dynamic bonding capabilities, allowing them to adapt to manufacturing requirements while maintaining durability and flexibility. These advancements are helping us innovate across multiple components and phases of blade development, pushing the boundaries of whatās possible in wind energy. At BLADE2CIRC, we are committed to creating a sustainable, circular future for the wind energy industry. Join us on this journey! #ResearchAndDevelopment #CircularEconomy #RenewableEnergy

āļøš©ļøšØ Snow, lightning, and extreme winds: #Japanās geography demands a reliable and strong turbine to cope with these tricky conditions. J-POWERās #Ishikari #Hachinosawa #WindFarm is no different and a great example of why GE Vernovaās 4.2-117 #WindTurbine was selected for this project. Ishikari is a location that gets heavy snow and blizzards and experienced whiteouts with severe lightning and thunderstorms during the commissioning of the project. This posed challenges for the project team, who stopped work periodically to prioritize #safety. Daily snow removal work and proper planning enabled the project to be constructed safely and on-schedule. #FutureOfEnergy #WindEnergy #EnergyTransition #Decarbonize #Electrify #Wind
