Over the years, I’ve had countless conversations with PR and comms professionals about the highs, the lows, and the constant need to adapt in our ever-evolving industry. It struck me — these stories, challenges, and lessons deserve to be shared. That’s why we launched the Viva PR Podcast PR in the Real World a couple of weeks ago. This is not intended to be your typical industry talk shop. It’s real people, sharing real stories about how they’ve tackled the biggest hurdles in their careers — and become stronger. From a personal point of view, the podcast has been a great way to connect with new people in the industry and reconnect with long-time friends I’ve worked alongside over the years. The stories they’ve shared have reminded me why I enjoy being involved in this industry in the first place — it’s full of creativity, resilience, and, above all, people who genuinely care about making an impact. From managing crises to navigating digital transformation, the conversations are honest, insightful, and, most importantly, practical. In short, hosting this podcast has been a privilege. However, I have to say I am not a big fan of hearing my own voice or seeing myself in these clips. I have always been the one behind the camera I don’t run towards the limelight. That said, it’s worth the pain as the feedback so far has been fantastic, and it’s clear there’s a real appetite for content that digs a little deeper, goes beyond the surface, and shines a light on the real side of PR. https://lnkd.in/eRDbjFBD #agencylife #PR #VivaPRPodcast #PublicRelations #Communications #StorytellingWithImpact #PRInsights #PRProfessionals #LearningTogether #PodcastLaunch #PRLeadership #ProblemSolving

Predictive’s own Erik Jensen shared some rock-solid awesome truths about the two transitional moments that occur when offering a Q&A that are crucial for building trust. Here’s the reality — a Q&A can be a powerful marketing strategy — but only if people show up. To make that happen, there are two key transitional moments that get your prospect to the finish line: 1. When the prospect, client, or person signs up for the Q&A 2. When they attend the Q&A and engage with you and the community They’re both important moments — but until they take that next step to attend the session and engage with the community, the deep trust needed for meaningful connections can't be built. I’m telling you — those interactions are where the magic happens. The opportunity to meet with the host and community, engage and ask questions, and learn more about everyone is It’s time to double down on getting your prospect to the next step. “If you want to build a business where you’re selling your intellectual property, becoming a public figure in some capacity is a requirement.” When she said that, I had to pause. She was right. Please believe that quote made its way into my moleskin journal. (When I invited Jereshia Hawk, private business mentor, to be on the show, I knew I’d have pages full of notes: https://lnkd.in/gxDDVtyF ) But what I didn't know was how Jereshia scaled her business, which she so graciously shares with us. If you’re in a place where your revenue feels stagnant, you want to scale but you’re not sure what steps to take, and you need a slight kick in the pants, you’re in the right place.
