Stop stigmatising victims, to the victims out there you are not alone! One big challenge we have in society is the belief in the victim. We have created a toxic culture in society itself. We applaud those who don't make a fuss because it would seem weak to be seen as a victim. We have legal and access barriers to raised voices. Victim is seen as a dirty word, a negative narrative. Yet victims are dam strong. They survived! And after they survived they are fierce advocates and thrivers. The only people it serves to stay silent are those who abuse power. By staying silent, even if you rise, you become the exception, not the rule. Yes, one person can see you succeed, but you are part of a bigger pattern of systematic injustice. You buy into the culture of fear and stigma that society has created to keep the abuses that exist, and they are real and abundant. Domestic violence and child abuse, pervasive across societies and cultures, persist amidst implicit acceptance. Civilization, regrettably, has shifted its moral boundaries to conceal these perversions, allowing them to fester unchecked. The stains left by such atrocities are not only immediate but also generational, perpetuating a cycle of disgrace.
