Today, ZAVTEK, Inc. would like to introduce a new series, Power Players. Every month we’ll be highlighting an outstanding team member, and our very first Power Player is Nathan Powers!
Nathan has been in the industry for 10 years and is on ZAVTEK’s team as an Outside Sales Engineer. He is originally from Cincinnati but has also lived in Pennsylvania and North Carolina. Here’s a glimpse into his background and life outside of work.
1. Can you share some highlights from your trip to Germany this year for the factory witness test?
The Piller factory witness test was a huge success. The opportunity to get to know our customers, contractors, engineers, and partners at Piller on a more personal level was certainly the highlight. Also, seeing Piller’s operations was impressive, and the sightseeing in Munich and Wernigerode was amazing, but the time spent outside of the office with these folks was priceless.
2. What’s your favorite way to spend a Saturday?
An ideal day would be spent working around my house in the morning and spending the rest of the day playing guitar, spending time with family, hiking, fishing, golfing, hunting, or just about anything outside.
3. If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
This is a really tough question! My first inclination was to say “fly” and while it would be exhilarating, eventually the novelty would fade. If no one else had this ability it would also be frustrating not to be able to share the excitement with others. That said, I would have to choose time travel. Perhaps not the ability to influence history, but the ability to witness, understand, and experience the events that have shaped our world today.
