#ZeroTolerance expands product selection with #winter #capsule line. #Apparel #brand Zero Tolerance has expanded its product offering and launched a winter capsule line for #men and #women. The collection blends eco-conscious production with fusion style design and also marks the label’s foray into #everydaywear. “The collection features over 90% #handmade #garments crafted from #organiccotton, utilising #stonewash finishes- a first for organic fabric,” announced the brand in a press release. “This innovative technique, traditionally associated with denim, embodies their dedication to thoughtful production at every level.”   The collection also features elements of #patchwork, which is one of the label’s design signatures and adds a #tactile element to its garments. Traditional style #Aari and #Zardoziembroidery adorns #outerwear, with motifs inspired by heritage #Kalamkaridesigns to add a touch of history to Zero Tolerance’s youthful separates. Womenswear brand specs 3D and bio spotlights The womenswear brand SELF-PORTRAIT has used 3D-printed and bio plastic spotlights at its latest outlet in Bicester Village. Sustainability was said to be central to the brief to interior designer and architectural practice IDL Group Ltd, which specified the 3D printed high efficiency Nort GS and Colt Bio spotlights from UK manufacturer Shoplight Ltd | B Corp™. The luminaires offer 72 per cent and 71 per cent reusable and recyclable components respectively. The Nort and Colt Bio are made from plant-based polymers rather than traditional aluminium housing, allows the firm to reduce carbon emissions during manufacture by up to 95 per cent.  Surplus plastic from the production of the luminaire is recycled using an onsite 3devo B.V. shredder. Once granulated, the plastic is reformed using an extruding machine ready to be repurposed as a new product. The Nort GS and Colt Bio downlight are modular in design, allowing them to be repaired or upgraded quickly. At the end of life, they can be returned to Shoplight for a credit towards new bio-polymer products. Peterborough-based Shoplight is also promising a take-back scheme for its bioplastic products, including the Nort. It says it can reuse all major components and reform the plastic back into new products.
