YOUR PHARMACY SPEAKS ABOUT YOU (AND INSULTS YOU!) Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of visiting hundreds of pharmacies across the world. One thing that always strikes us is how many owners don’t realize how much their pharmacy communicates to client-patients even before a single word is exchanged. Often, caught up in the daily hustle, they overlook the importance of sales scenography. They end up with spaces that resemble open warehouses more than welcoming and professional environments. But have you ever wondered what message your pharmacy is truly sending to your client-patients? A disorganized pharmacy, with piled-up products and overloaded shelves, risks “insulting” your professional image. On the other hand, a well-curated environment, with a thoughtfully designed layout and strategic product placement, can significantly enhance the experience and perception your client-patients have of you. Remember: your pharmacy speaks about you. Make sure it says the right things! If you wish to transform your space into an environment that fully reflects your professionalism and dedication, I’m here to help. In this space on #linkedin, we share ideas, experiences, and solutions to make our pharmacies not just places of health, but also of well-being and trust. Let’s start a conversation, your thoughts and experiences are invaluable. #Pharmacy #Wellbeing #Trust #PharmacyDesign #Pharmacists

Harsh truth for pharmacies: -You can have the widest range of products -You can have a beautifully designed store -You can have frequent promotions and discounts But if you don’t have: -Knowledgeable and compassionate staff -A deep understanding of your customers' needs -A commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality care You’ll struggle to build trust and loyalty. Without trust, customers will see you as just another store—easily replaceable. So instead of relying solely on sales tactics: Focus on the essentials. Treat every customer as an individual. Provide care that goes beyond transactions. Because in healthcare, your heart is your brand. #HealthcareWithHeart #PharmacyEssentials #BotanicalChemistPalmCove

💡The idea that “the customer is always right” is something I strongly disagree with. Recently, while working at the pharmacy, I encountered a situation that highlighted this. A patient came in to pick up a medication, and when I asked, as I always do, if he had taken it before, he responded that it was none of my business 😳When I clarified that I was just ensuring he understood how to use it, he accused me of implying that his doctor had been negligent in explaining the instructions. I explained that it’s my professional responsibility to ensure patients know how to take their medication, but he insisted it wasn’t. This experience made it clear to me that customers can often be mistaken or unreasonable. However, engaging in arguments typically leads to a no-win situation. Customers will share their perceptions with others, which can negatively impact your reputation, often without a chance for you to defend yourself. The best approach is to listen to their concerns and find a solution that balances their needs with fair business practices. Good luck navigating these challenges! 🤞 #customerengagement #retailpharmacy #pharmacyconsulting

Check out this fascinating study on individual preferences for using the BD MiniDraw™ Capillary Blood Collection System in a retail pharmacy setting. Of participants surveyed, the majority preferred capillary collection (where you have blood taken from your fingertip) over venous collection (that’s when you have blood taken from a vein). Plus, 90% of respondents gave positive feedback regarding the overall retail capillary collection experience, and 83% indicated that they had “sufficient trust in”/“a sufficiently positive experience” with the capillary collection process and would use it in the future, noting convenience (collection time, location), results accuracy, and comfort. #healthcare #innovation #bloodcollection #BDemployee
