Let's address the real issue at hand instead of making baseless and irrelevant criticisms about Loblaws affordability. The profit margins are already so slim that even if they switched to a non-profit model you would not see much of a difference at the checkout. How about we focus on something real like government overspending, inefficiency and the total disrespect for our money.

Did you see that Puresport sent 500 influencers empty PR boxes for Black Friday?! 📦😱 As part of a new campaign to combat over-consumerism and PR madness at this time of the year, Puresport collaborated with charity Greenhouse Sports to make a difference 🫶🏼 Here's what happened: Puresport sent 500 influencers empty boxes 📦 The challenge? Fill them with new and unused athletic gear and accessories they'd previously been gifted themselves, then send them back (postage-paid!) to support children in disadvantaged communities. Pair that with a £10,000 donation and a heartfelt campaign that speaks to purpose over profit, and you’ve got something worth celebrating 🙌 It’s a gorgeous reminder that marketing can do more than sell; it can serve. I tell all of my clients to shout about their company / core values, and make sure they act on them too. Don't forget about your community! Brands should definitely follow in the footsteps left by Puresport 👏🏼 #Marketing #MarketingInsights #Puresport #BlackFriday #BlackFridayMarketing #Community

So, Now What? I spent much of 2024 focused on politics, working and volunteering for the presidential election, Biden, then Harris, and NC Democratic Coordinated Campaign. I committed myself to protecting the process and the rights & freedoms I care about. My reasons for getting involved has not changed. I am more resolute than ever that there is important work to be done. I never imagined we would find ourselves in the America we live in today. The incoming administration has set the stage for what the next 4 years will look like, but there are still many unknowns. So my question again is…”NOW WHAT?” We have a choice: we can “woe is me” for the next 4 years, or we can get to work. I have seen the ripple effect of doing good work and helping others. I know how it feels to watch the ideals you believe in be threatened and the people most vulnerable be under attack. Step 1 in my post-election life is to find ways to support charities and organizations protecting the rights and freedoms most at risk with the incoming administration. For most of my life, Red Hats represented a sports team or university, but that changed in 2016 when Red Hats started to appear at hate rallies and ultimately at the January 6th Insurrection. How could a hat strike such fear? That Red Hat represented a departure from the democracy I love. It is time to reclaim the red hat and reframe the narrative because red hats belong to everyone. We recognize that not everyone is ready to TAKE BACK THE RED HAT, but they still want to be part of our movement. White Hats for Good gives back to the same important causes as our Red Hats we just reversed the colors. Barbara Hobart and I hope you will join us and wear because you care. Donations are made for each hat purchased to support the charities featured on our site. www.RedHatsForChange.com

Another business doing it right 👏 Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of visiting La La Land Kind Cafe in Santa Monica, supporting efforts to help those affected by the devastating fires in Los Angeles. What stood out to me wasn’t just their partnership with big names like Spencer Pratt and Bumble, it was their exceptional approach to community building. From the moment customers walked in, they were greeted with a welcoming DJ, friendly staff, and merchandise that told a meaningful story. This experience reminded me of something I always share with others: today’s consumers want more than a product they want to feel part of something bigger. La La Land creates a connection that goes far beyond a transactional moment. Even if someone didn’t donate, this event will be talked about long after. Community engagement is such a critical piece of a brand’s identity. It’s more than just a social media post it’s about creating experiences that leave a lasting impression. Here’s to more brands making a difference in their communities and inspiring us to do the same! 🌟 #CommunityEngagement #PositiveImpact #CustomerExperience #PurposeDrivenBrands #SocialImpact #MarketingInspiration #BrandBuilding #MakeADifference #LACommunity #BeTheChange

Want to take advantage of the energy around Black Friday without the over-consumption? Here are some ideas: - Highlight small businesses on social to uplift your community and discourage overconsumption. - Donate a percentage of profits to social causes instead of offering discounts. - Skip Black Friday entirely and create your own spin (e.g., Green Friday or Do Good Friday). - Promote conscious consumption while offering discounts—tie your values into your campaign.

Black Friday isn't just for retailers. It's a PR goldmine for ANY business. Here's how I helped a client stand out last year: 1. Created a "Gratitude Campaign" 2. Offered pro bono services to a local charity 3. Launched a limited-time "PR Makeover" package Result? 3x media mentions and a 40% boost in December sales. The secret? Aligning with the spirit of giving. How are you leveraging Black Friday for your brand story? Share your creative ideas below! 👇 #BlackFridayPR #BrandStorytelling

As someone with Tourette’s, it’s lovely to see how much people are learning about this disorder. The thing is, I often forget I have it because I’m so used to it and so used to the effects it has on my life. That doesn’t mean they’re not hard, I’m just used to it. I’d love to see more companies who employ people with tourettes speak up or people who have tourettes and work talk about their experiences too. Every disability deserves awareness. Even in 2024, I get funny looks (don’t worry, I do understand the natural reaction of human curiosity!) but when they’re paired with remarks or dirty looks, it hurts. It doesn’t just mean I make noises and scrunch my face up and occasionally accidentally wink at random people in the street. It means headaches, strains, sore throats, severe fatigue, anxiety, self consciousness, embarassment, disturbed sleep, tic attacks. When I’m stressed they get triggered. Same when I’m tired or anxious, it’s a whole rigmarole. Thinking I might write a little educational / inspirational blog on it and what it’s like navigating through my educational and professional life with it. It’s about time I give Ticcy Tina the limelight she craves 😀💚 #tourettes #tourettessyndrome #tourettesawareness #ticdisorder

Day 7 of "Be More Greyhound" The Importance of Community: Pepper was my first dog, and since I didn't grow up with one, I remember feeling overwhelmed just a few days after bringing her home. Without any prior experience with dogs, I often felt lost, worrying about every little thing—how she was sleeping, eating, and even the noises she made. I just didn't know what was normal behaviour or if something was wrong. What made all the difference was the incredible community of Greyhound owners. Through Facebook groups, Instagram dog accounts (yes, Pepper has her own!), and Greyhound charities, I found people who were eager to help. I soon realised that many others had gone through the same experiences, and those quirky Greyhound traits were completely normal. The support and reassurance from this community made me feel confident that I was doing the right thing. As you can see from the picture, I regularly meet up with groups of sighthound owners for walks, days out together and spread awareness for greyhound charities. This sense of belonging to a community of wonderful people has been invaluable. I've come to understand that in the workplace, having a supportive community is just as crucial. Being surrounded by people who not only support you but also value your contributions helps you navigate the ever-changing market, provides you with advice and fresh perspectives, and stands by you during challenging times. #BeMoreGreyhound #TeamWork #Support #Community
