Dr. Janet Fast points out that "the work of family caregivers supports the social connections, dignity and well-being of those they care for. The annual economic value of family care work is $97 Billion. In 2018, Caregivers provided 5.7 billion hours of unpaid care. Time spent caregiving reduces opportunities for education and employment, connecting with family and friends. and maintaining caregivers’ own well-being." https://bit.ly/3yCh735 Hear Dr. Fast in CBC interview https://lnkd.in/gM4w-9v2

How do you make people aware of the signs of trafficking on public transport without relying on unhelpful stigmas? Join PACT on July 31st at 3pm EST in a webinar co-hosted by The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to find out! This webinar will cover strategies to build effective public awareness and outreach efforts for the transportation industry by ensuring that they are trauma-informed, person-centered, culturally responsive, and data driven. PACT’s Transit Against Child Trafficking (TACT) Campaign would not have succeeded without the guiding insights and strategies offered by our Survivor’s Council members. “Simplicity works… images are hard because when you have an image, you’re creating something in someone's mind about what they look like and they can de-identify. Be human-driven. This can happen to anyone, anywhere.” -PACT Survivor’s Council for the TACT Campaign More about PACT’s TACT Campaign here: https://lnkd.in/giiYAvJ3 Register for the webinar here: https://lnkd.in/e5EUtPgz
