Save the Children in Bangladesh’s Post

Health, Hope, and Care for Every Mother and Newborn Mamota Phase II has launched outdoor health services for the Kapasia Union's pregnant mothers and newborns. Locals from the community stepped up by sharing space to set up the outdoor services in a joint effort to improve maternal and newborn health services in the highly remote char areas of Gaibandha district. The project is funded by Save the Children Korea and implemented with the SKS Foundation. The support of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the dedication of local influencers and union parishad bodies have made maternal healthcare possible even in the most remote parts of Bangladesh.

This is an incredible initiative that brings much-needed health services to remote communities, ensuring better care for mothers and newborns in. Maternal and newborn health in char areas is crucial, and it's heartening to see such collaboration making a difference. It would be wonderful to see this impactful work extended to Kurigram, the poorest district of Bangladesh, where similar challenges exist. Expanding your efforts there could transform the lives of many more vulnerable families.
