Dairy Farm to Support Street Children! For the past few months I've been working with a small organization located in Pajian Village, Lahore, Pakistan. They are cut off from the world for a couple of reasons: 1) A lot of people don't trust organizations in Pakistan due to corruption in the government, etc. 2) They are in a rural part of Pakistan, where things like trash, sewer, and many other basic amenities don't even exist! Trash lines the streets, and many people and parents are drug/alcohol addicted, leaving children to wander the streets digging through trash to find food to eat. The organization I have been working with started and launched a free school program for these children, to get them off the streets! They have been running for the last few years now. The Founder, Noreen Rehmat, quit her job to start the organization, and spent her life savings to provide for these children. But donations have been intermittent, and it is quite literally "feast or famine" based on donations that come in to support these children. Over the past few months Noreen and I devised a strategy to help her organization become self-sufficient. The project is that of setting up a dairy farm on the land she already owns, from which the milk can be sold, as well as given to the children, to provide a steady stream of income and nourishment to the organization. (You can see the project details here: https://lnkd.in/g3YM2wQe) As of the time of this post, The organization has raised $1,020 of the $7,000 they need to fund the project. To my entire network: If each one of you donated just $0.75, this project would be completely funded, creating a self-sustaining relief organization in rural Pakistan that would help hundreds of children per year escape homelessness, poverty, abuse, neglect, sex-trafficking, slavery, and more. Some of you won't donate, some of you won't even see this post. But to those who will: Please give what you can. The goal is $7,000 but truly that is the bare minimum. Every penny counts, and on behalf of those who will make this project a reality, I just want to say: Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! If you have any questions about this project or the organization, DM me or post in the comments below and I will do my best to answer! #TCS #ThoughtCartographyStudios #GlobalImpact

Charity Skydive for Children in Crossfire - 29th June 2024 🛫 This June myself and Tyler Curry will jump 15,000ft out of a plane for a very worthwhile charity. Children in Crossfire is a charity based in Derry, Northern Ireland, founded in 1996 by Richard Moore. The organisation focuses on improving the lives of vulnerable children in some of the world's most disadvantaged communities. Here are some key aspects of the charity: 💡 Founding and Inspiration Richard Moore: The founder, Richard Moore, was blinded by a rubber bullet at the age of 10 during the Northern Ireland Troubles. Despite this life-changing event, he has become a prominent advocate for peace and development, often referred to as "the Derry Lama" by the Dalai Lama, who is a patron of the charity. 🚸 Mission: The charity's mission is to help children caught in the crossfire of poverty and to empower them to reach their full potential. This includes ensuring their rights to education, healthcare, and nutrition. 👨💻 Focus Areas > Early Childhood Education: Children in Crossfire emphasizes the importance of early childhood education. They support programs that provide young children with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in school and in life. >Healthcare: The charity works to improve access to healthcare services, focusing on nutrition, maternal health, and the prevention of childhood diseases. >Community Development: They support community-led initiatives that address the root causes of poverty and promote sustainable development. 🌎 Programs and Impact Tanzania and Ethiopia: Children in Crossfire has significant operations in Tanzania and Ethiopia, where they work with local partners to implement their programs. These initiatives have improved the lives of thousands of children through education and healthcare projects. Children in Crossfire exemplifies how a personal tragedy can be transformed into a powerful force for good, helping to improve the lives of some of the most vulnerable children in the world. More info on Children in Crossfire is in the comments. Thank you all who have donated so far ✨

My next humanitarian mission is simple: To Work with restaurants in Tacoma and Seattle to help feed children & college students in need who are experiencing food insecurity. Currently in Washington State, 1 in 8 children are experiencing hunger, while 4 out of 10 college students reported experiencing food insecurity. My “All Youth Can Eat” campaign is designed to fight hunger for all youth during this summer, where food insecurity is at its highest. We want to make a huge dent in hunger this summer and we have the will and skill to do it and here’s how you can help: 1. Please suggest local restaurants within the cities of Seattle & Tacoma that you’d think would be interested in participating in the “All Youth Can Eat” program. Each restaurant that participates will pick a day of the week, a time and a couple of food menu items that they’ll to serve out to hungry youth. The campaign starts on July 1st and ends September 1st. Each participating restaurant can decide if they’d like to serve only kids 18 and under, or serve college students 18-24 (with student ID) or serve both. 2. Another way you can help is by donating to the “All Youth Can Eat” Gofundme page. These funds will go towards helping participating restaurants who need help with food costs for the campaign. Donation link can be found at www.thepeacebus.org. There you have it! 2 simple ways that we can work together to address the major issue of hunger in our community. I’m honored and privileged to partner with the incredible restaurants we’ve already had climb aboard and am excited for future restaurants that decide to join the fight against hunger as we get closer to summer. Big thanks to Erick Ramirez who shot this clip And major thanks to Paola Martínez for acting. #thisisit #feedthehungry #foodinsecurity #feedtheyouth #allyouthcaneat #summerfeedingprogram #seattle #tacoma #kwabiamoahforson #humanitarian

Empowering Rural Communities Through Donations At One Home Mission, we're a dedicated team passionate about making a real difference in the lives of those living in rural areas. Your donations play a crucial role in helping us achieve our mission. With your support, we're able to provide access to clean water by digging more wells and distributing water filters, ensuring communities can safely consume water without the risk of health issues. Additionally, we offer educational sponsorships, giving underprivileged children the chance to pursue the education they deserve. Unfortunately, the need is greater than ever. Poor water consumption in rural Busoga has led to a rise in health cases and preventable deaths. Extreme poverty is also causing an increase in school dropouts, as parents struggle to afford the resources their children need to attend classes. Your donations can help us tackle these pressing problems head-on. By contributing to One Home Mission, you'll be empowering us to make an even greater impact and transform the lives of those in rural communities. Together, we can build a brighter future for all. Most of you don't know about my work with Learn Grow Lead and Children Helpers Foundation (our partner organization in Cape Coast, Ghana). Over the past decade+, we have built a home for unhoused children, paid for hundreds of children to attend school, and leased (and then purchased) ten acres of organic farmland. As a very small, all volunteer run organization, it has not been easy for us over the past years to keep up with the needs of the children in the Shaisiri Home as well as the kids who have families and places to live but need help with school fees. Not to mention, trying to buy ten acres of farmland, and hoping to buy ten more acres for our partner to reach full self sufficiency. We have a couple of immediate needs so I thought no one would be better to connect with than this community. First off is Ruth Coleman. She is 14 years old, lost her father at a very young age and then was abandoned by her mother. After her father's death, Ruth moved in with her 76 year- old grandmother. She started selling sachet water to make a living until she was admitted into our care. This week, she was rushed to the hospital from school. Her scan indicates that she need surgery to remove an endometriosis cyst. Fluid has accumulated in her womb and she is in a lot of pain. The initial bill from the hospital prepared this morning was Ghc7,138 or approximately $463.21 as of this minute. The second need is for food. LGL has not been able to fund a full month of food for the orphanage for a while, but we try to send $500 a month towards food costs. If you feel called to donate (and get that tax deduction), please go to our website. The funds will go towards whichever need you designate. https://lnkd.in/gvzhNeX6 Please reach out if you need any additional info. All donations, minus any banking fees, goes directly to fund the needs of our kids.

Tomorrow is Cash for Kids Day 🧡🎉 This year our focus is on Holiday Hunger. For some local children their school dinner is the only hot meal of the day. During the holidays struggling families simply can't afford enough food, so they're often eating unhealthy options or even nothing at all. We want to make sure these children have enough to eat. Money raised for Cash for Kids Day will help reach out, with fun activities and that important meal during the holidays💚 Did you know: 💔1 in 4 families with children struggle to afford food 💔1 in 10 UK 15 year olds have missed meals because of poverty 💔40% of working households were classed as food insecure in 2023 💔2.4 million children recieve free school meals across the UK There is still time for you to help us make a difference: 💚£5.50 could provide drinks, snacks and a meal for one child. 💙£11.95 could provide a one-day experience and a meal for one child. 🧡£51.66 could provide one child with a place at a five-day sports club There is still time to get involved, could you get your office to donate the cost of their lunch tomorrow, hold a bake sale, maybe just donate the cost of your coffee? Every single penny will make a huge difference and then be used locally to support children in our area. Come on Liverpool, let’s make sure no children go hungry over the school holidays this year 🙏🏼❤️ https://lnkd.in/g2ApVgYd

October 6, 2024 is the NYC Chapter Out of Darkness Walk. It will start the NYC Seaport Pier 16 & 17 in the Seaport District. The event opens at 10AM. The walk starts at 11:30AM Many many of you helped last year with donations to my fund raising. I'm asking again if you can help prevent a suicide and support research into suicide. Our farmers are struggling greatly. Here is why donating to AFSP can make a huge difference. Farmers have a suicide rate much higher than the general population, with some estimates in the United States as high as three times the national average. Other studies have identified environmental factors that put farmers at elevated risk of suicide. Zanchi et al found that pesticide exposure may exacerbate depression, impulsivity, and suicidal ideation, with implications that exposure to pesticides may be a contributing factor to farmers’ poor mental health and thus increase the risk of suicide. Firearms, which are often involved in suicides, are common in farm environments. It is, therefore, not surprising that this environmental hazard is very frequently involved with suicides within the farming population. Thank for considering a donation and please share this. #suicideprevention
Please support the New York City Walk this fall to help #stopsuicide
