80% of Scots want more rewilding action🌿 A new poll carried out for the The Scottish Rewilding Alliance reveals that 80% of Scots believe the Scottish Government should have policies in place to support rewilding. Despite overwhelming public support for large-scale nature restoration, the government has been moving too slowly, risking Scotland being left behind on nature recovery. As we await the upcoming Programme for Government, it’s time for Scotland to take bold and ambitious action. We want to see Scotland declared as the world’s first #RewildingNation, with nature recovery taking place across 30% of the country. Rewilding produces more jobs! Research from our friends at Rewilding Britain shows that jobs in #rewilding have increased by over 400% since 2008. Within our own #Northwoods Rewilding Network, we've seen 28 businesses employ over 72 people since the network's inception three years ago. This research shows that the benefits of #rewilding stretch far beyond nature restoration.
