Folks, if you have an AED in your business premises then please make sure that regular checks get carried out to make sure the battery is still working and the pads are in date. In the last month I have been in two premises in my local area, one being a restaurant and the other a bowling club. On both occasions I saw their defibs in a prominent position with flat batteries. I did point this out to management and hope it was an oversight. Today on Linkedin I saw an English police force highlighting their response to sudden cardiac arrest. The picture they have used shows a defib with a flat battery. It doesn't give me confidence. As we know an Aed is a life saving piece of equipment . Make sure it is rescue ready.
