The space economy is projected to reach $1.8 trillion by 2035. This growth is driven by levels of maturity achieved on space technology development and increased adoption of space based products and services. Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) has a big share of this projected growth. GNSS-based products and services are integral to our daily lives, often without us even realizing it. From ride-hailing apps like Uber to navigation systems in our cars, GNSS is the backbone that keeps us moving efficiently and safely. However, the reliability of these services is being threatened by the increased interference, jamming, and spoofing. SharpNav enhanced GNSS solution is designed to protect these vital services from such disruptions, ensuring that you can continue to rely on them regardless of the industry or market segment. By safeguarding against interference and intentional jamming/spoofing, SharpNav is committed to maintaining the integrity and reliability of GNSS-based services that we all depend on every day. Together, let's keep the world connected and moving forward! 🌍✨ #SpaceEconomy #GNSS #SharpNav #Innovation #Technology #FutureReady #GPS

A company had a vision to provide broadband services from LEO (Low Earth Orbit) satellites to everyday mobile phones. What was the first major test they targeted to realize this vision? They sent a mobile phone into space. What? Not a satellite? Nope. It was simpler and cheaper to send a mobile phone into space and test how it communicated with a satellite on Earth than the opposite approach. Are you thinking about simple, cheap ways to test your ideas? There's a great book on this subject called Testing Business Ideas, by Alexander Osterwalder and David J. Bland.

NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration has successfully launched the #GOES-U satellite - the fourth and last of the GOES-R series of satellites, all using Quantic BEI's angular sensor encoders in their Advanced Baseline Imagers. Once operational, GOES-U will become GOES-19, and be positioned to monitor weather systems and environmental hazards affecting most of North America, as well as Central and South America, the Caribbean, and the Atlantic Ocean. Connectivity is so crucial to our lives--great to see low earth orbit (LEO) tech continue to enhance them...this time at 30K ft (and other remote environments). https://lnkd.in/e648hSeG Who of us hasn't had a terrible in-flight WiFi experience recently?? I just had one this week and am seriously looking forward to a more seamless experience in the skies. And, most importantly, this LEO tech also has great potential to address the connectivity issues across rural and other challenging environments, including for healthcare delivery. https://lnkd.in/ewNY7AHg #connectivity #tech #leo #wifi #equity #rural #healthcaretech #remotepatientmonitoring
We Tested Wi-Fi on Over 50 Flights. It Often Stinks, but It’s About to Get Better.

GMV participated in the 1st General Assembly of #NewSpacePortugal. The event focused on developing the Portuguese space sector and establishing its presence in national, European, and global contexts. The consortium of 39 entities aims to change the face of the space industry in Portugal by launching several Portuguese satellite constellations into space for monitoring the Atlantic territory by 2028. GMV is working on the scope of the "Very High Resolution" and "Digital Planet" work packages, where it will develop systems for processing data generated by very high-resolution cameras and sensors and other elements of the ground segment of satellite systems, as well as a framework for territorial management services and emergencies and climate resilience. Undoubtedly, an essential contribution from the Atlantic Constellation. #Space #NewSpace #EO
