Did you know YOU can help provide safe spaces for vulnerable women in Aruba? Read on to learn how ⬇️ 🏠 We recently kicked off a powerful initiative in the district of San Nicolas called “La Sala”. La Sala will help us further support women who work in the sex industry—women who deserve dignity, respect, and protection. 🌸 The Mission: La Sala aims to provide a permanent shelter where these women can find safety, support, and resources. Through fundraising, we plan on purchasing a building that will serve as a sanctuary for those who often face vulnerability and exploitation. 🌎 How You Can Help: 1. DONATE: If you’re inclined, consider contributing financially to this important cause. Every dollar counts and brings us closer to providing a safe space for these women. 2. SPREAD AWARENESS: Share this post to raise awareness about La Sala. Let’s amplify this message and reach more hearts. 3. PRAY: We recognize that we can do nothing without the grace and favour of the Lord. Your prayers are vital to the success of this project. Learn more and donate at ywamaruba.com/lasala 🙏 Let’s stand together, advocate for women’s rights, and create a world where safety and compassion prevail. 🌟💕 #Aruba #LaSalaProject #WomenEmpowerment #BeTheChange

16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign launched by UN Women. It starts on November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and ends on December 10, Human Rights Day. I'm participating in and supporting Rivina Foundation — a global foundation founded by human rights advocate and lawyer Anna Rivina, which helps women in emigration who are facing violence. A woman in need can get free consultations from crisis psychologists and access legal guidance in her country. She can find out her rights and what kind of support she can receive from local police or activists. Today, I'm helping the Rivina Foundation raise funds to continue its work in 2025. I’m offering a £300 (€360) gift certificate for my salon, CULt. Hairdressing in London, in exchange for donations to the Rivina Foundation, supporting women facing violence. Here is how to get it: - Submit your request following the link in this post by December 10. - Receive a message from the foundation’s team with the next steps. - Make your donation to the foundation. - Claim your gift certificate. The funds raised will go toward the work of crisis psychologists who provide counselling for women, legal professionals, and the foundation's team. I believe that economic well-being and financial independence are impossible for women without psychological and physical security. If you want to support women in emigration, just like I do, you can also make a donation via the link in comments below. #16Days

**16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence** is an annual international campaign launched by @UN Women. It starts on November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and ends on December 10, Human Rights Day. I'm participating and supporting @Rivina Foundation—a global foundation founded by human rights advocate and lawyer @Anna Rivina, which helps Russian-speaking women in emigration who are facing violence. Any woman—from Canada to Tanzania—can get free consultations from crisis psychologists and access legal guidance in her country. She can find out her rights and what kind of support she can receive from local police or activists. Today, I’m helping the Rivina Foundation raise funds to continue its work in 2025. I am ready to share my time and connections: I’m offering a package of three consultations on any topic—whether personal or related to fundraising—along with introductions to the right people, in exchange for a donation of €2000 to the foundation. How to sign up: — submit a request here by December 10:https://lnkd.in/eF98NSmW — receive a message from the foundation team — make a donation — get my contact info to arrange everything The funds raised will go toward the work of crisis psychologists who provide counseling for women, legal professionals, and the foundation's team. I believe that economic well-being and financial independence are impossible for women without psychological and physical security. 🌈 Despite being more likely to identify as LGBTQIA+, young people are less likely to be out at work. In 2020, only 24.5% of LGBTQIA+ individuals aged 18-24 were out to everyone they work with. We need your help to change this! Your tax-deductible donation supports Out For Australia's national mentoring programs, helping LGBTQIA+ young people thrive and be their authentic selves at work. 💖 Donate today and make a difference: https://lnkd.in/giCBXXGh * AWEI 2020 Practice Points: Key Findings, Pride in Diversity, ACON #SupportLGBTQIA #OutForAustralia #DonateNow

From Djirra- Sharing stories, finding solutions, please see the below link to support: Help Aboriginal women escaping family violence Australia is facing a national crisis of violence against women. Here in Victoria, Aboriginal women are 45 times more likely to experience family violence than other women. And the number of Aboriginal women seeking support continues to rise – Djirra experienced a 22% surge in demand in the first three months of this year alone. While violence against Aboriginal women is increasing, and we are already devastatingly over-represented in family and sexual violence statistics, our frontline services and community-led solutions remain critically underfunded. This is why we URGENTLY need your help with a tax-deductible donation this end of financial year https://lnkd.in/gmS2XXbp

Many of the conversations about #climatefinance at #SIDS4 have affirmed the work of Global Fund for Women. Private investment in poorer countries is limited, the global climate finance mechanisms are largely inaccessible and don't reach the masses, and global financial institutions are not designed to serve these populations. While we continue to demand and work towards system change, we also recognise the urgency of meeting the most vulnerable populations where they are, and providing the resources immediately required to resource their work and reduce their vulnerability. This is our current approach to providing inclusive, just finance for climate action.
By standing with movements, we offer a way to redirect despair and anger into solidarity through action. Research shows that autonomous feminist movements are one of the primary drivers of lasting social change—more powerful than national wealth, progressive political parties, or even the number of women in government. That’s why we fund movements—and as a regular monthly donor, you can provide ongoing support for feminist movements. If you can, join #1Point9Rising with a donation or by signing up for our email list: https://lnkd.in/g2EdJEhU

The brilliant Rebecca Gill, CEO of Rosa Fund talking on BBC Radio ahead of last night's documentary, "Sarah Everard: The Search for Justice": "When the documentary is aired, there will be some very, very tough questions for the Police. There are also some tough social questions that we have to answer - why is the number of women who experience violence at the hands of men not reducing? Why are so many young women being exposed to so much misogyny online? There is a huge social challenge here that we are all part of solving. Women's and girls orgs are a critical part of that solution, the Police are part of that solution - we are all part of that solution." All credit to Frankie McCamley and the team for bringing this harrowing but important documentary together which is now available on iPlayer: https://lnkd.in/eAwtVRWx
