Last week was the 4-year anniversary of Matheson Capital's acquisition of Central Oaks in Summerville, South Carolina. This 32-unit property was our third acquisition in Summerville in a 19-month span. We sold all of those assets, realizing great returns for our investors on each of the deals. Central Oaks was one of my favorite acquisitions and we learned a lot from that deal. BITTERSWEET CLOSING When I first met the buyers of 7115 S Oglesby Ave back in 2018, they had an ambitious vision to build a strong portfolio of investment properties. We successfully closed on several acquisitions, even navigating the challenges of the COVID pandemic together. As plans shifted, we transitioned from acquiring to selling their assets. Today, the sale of 7115 S Oglesby marks the final chapter of their portfolio journey. It's bittersweet, but it’s a huge win—they saw an impressive 34% appreciation in sales price.
