OCD 🤓 One of my colleagues was helping me set up the Vatic conference booth earlier this year. And asked me if maybe I was OCD? And well, I can't deny that I have a particular way an exhibit booth should be set up. 🎪 After all it may be the first impression of the brand for attendees. But the more I thought about it... The more I think my colleague was right. 👍 Because the work we do controls pricing for tickets worth tens of millions of dollars. And our clients are depending on the accuracy of that work. Tickets can't just arbitrarily do something weird. And so, yes, I am quite OCD when it comes to: 1) The accuracy of the data. 👨💻 2) The decision tree that is used to weight factors. ⚖️ 3) The logic (gained from over 15 years of real world research and development) that governs the price changes. 🧠 And maybe that's spilled over into my booth. So be it. 😄

Hate to say it... but, sometimes doing something is worse than doing nothing (organizers - don't let that be a reason you just give up!). ICYMI, this Thursday's fast-paced, online session will help you see the top 10 exhibitor support red flags so you can avoid avoidable mistakes in your future efforts and start introducing the right programs (AKA getting your exhibitors the help they really need) sooner. ** Bonus: this webinar has officially been pre-approved for .75 CEM CE credits! That means, if you're a CEM and you attend live for the whole 45 minutes, we can get the credits added to your account after this session for you, without any extra hassle or stress :) #TradeShows #WorkSmarter #CEM #ContinuingEducation #ROI PS. I was going to wait until tomorrow to post this (because #AprilFools - ugh), but I know Monday's are a big day for scheduling and I don't want anyone to double book in the meantime - hope this helps!

Here are 18 tips to get you focused: 1/ Pick a good conference 2/ Set your goal 3/ Know your people-targets 4/ Maybe bring a wingperson 5/ Stay in the conference hotel 6/ Prepare an elevator pitch 7/ Bring good enough business cards 8/ Go to the sessions 9/ Sit with people you don't know 10/ Meet the vendors 11/ Plan your dinners 12/ Go to the parties 13/ Hang out in the bar 14/ Pay the bill 15/ Exhaust yourself 16/ Follow up 17/ Get the ROI 18/ Have fun I expanded on each one so you can get the most out of your next conference. You can read about it here: https://lnkd.in/g5a9qn95 ===================================== 🤔 Did I miss anything? ♻️ Reshare if you think I got it right or want to add to the list. =====================================

Wellness and integrative medicine is booming! As our population becomes more adaptive to alternative treatment options + moving away from traditional medicine recommendations, wellness practices need to be positioned to convert patients in their highest state of interest. That includes updates to your online presence, and we can help. Hope to see you at #A4M #A4MSpringCongress | #A4MSC24 | #ThrivingAtA4M | #LiveatA4MSpringCongress |#OOOatA4M

To organize a successful trade show, conference, or event, you need to make sure your registration game is on point. That means getting the Maximum number of attendees through the door in a short time. Event registration includes many aspects, but none more important than badging. If you are organizing a large event, conference, or trade show, then creating a pre-printed badge for thousands of attendees and arranging them can be extremely tedious and time-consuming, with last-minute registration manual errors can occur, which can lead to large mess-ups. https://buff.ly/3SL8wU6

ATTENTION ALL… Attendees – due to circumstances beyond our control, the CTOBC event will be taking place at the North Hall (2nd Floor). I have attached an updated map of the location and the Attendee Flyer for reference (both English and Spanish). Key take-aways for this change: • ALL parking for attendees will be in the SILVER LOT parking area – FREE of charge! • Exhibit opens at 8am and runs through 12 Noon. • There will be LVCVA ambassadors and way-finding signs directing you to the North Hall. • Bring your Capability Statements and business cards. If you want to have your capability statement reviewed, we will have a table so you can sit down with one of our reviewers and go over your document in its entirety. • in addition to the relocation of the event from the West Hall to the North Hall, when you arrive in the SILVER PARKING LOT, you MUST tell the parking attendants that you are “Attending the CTOBC Event”. You will not be charged if you tell them this. However, if you fail to let them know you are attending the CTOBC event, you will be charged for parking. Make sure you let them know. I have also attached exhibit hall pictures for reference. We look forward in seeing you on Thursday, October 17, 2024!

Great news yesterday on the CEIR front! CEIR is adding staff, bringing a market researcher in to support all the good work that Nancy Drapeau, IPC and the CEIR Foundation do on behalf of the events industry. This is long overdue, and just generally it is great to see the organization investing to strengthen the team and its ability to generate valuable market intelligence for show organizers and other event industry stakeholders. I also applaud the move to offer consulting services to the industry. If you haven't checked out the latest report in the latest CEIR research series, it is concise and worth a read. https://lnkd.in/e5SEuZBU Interestingly, when asking exhibitors what support they would like to see more from show organizers, the top responses were (a) better traffic flow and (b) real-time access to attendee data. Re: traffic flow - I would advocate that we need to become bolder in how we approach the design of our trade show floor plans. This will likely require taking some risks, like selling your anchor exhibitors on the value of taking space somewhere other than right at the front entrance (not an easy sell, but doable; they get the traffic anyway and you can help them in other ways to elevate their brand). Re: providing real-time attendee data - it is all about the data! Here again I think we should consider getting out of the box a bit to provide more and deeper data to our exhibitor/sponsors. This doesn't mean we throw away privacy issues, it just means we have to be smart in our approach. Attendees benefit as much as exhibitors by allowing a more open and free interchange of data. 2mo..I'm going to +1 the observation about booth setup, but just like how it's applied to data, that's not a bad thing 😄
