His leadership and initiative were particularly evident recently when he successfully led a team to package 30 tons of materials under challenging conditions, ensuring timely delivery while prioritizing safety. Not only is Mr. Hua a champion for safety, but he also advocates for employee welfare. As a trade union leader, he established a union fund that has provided vital support to over 125 colleagues in need, reinforcing our sense of community. Did you know that I wrote and published a poem titled "Safety First" before I founded FIC Human Resource Partners? Well, I did. It was inspired by my experience working at a facility where the safety culture didn't align with the safety training and slogans promoted by corporate. The disconnect between words and actions was beyond obvious to all of us in that shop. What I learned working at that facility is that it's all too easy for gaps to develop between safety values, rhetoric, and actual practices. And that as those gaps widen, employee trust and adherence quickly erode until all that is left are meaningless slogans no one pays attention to. That experience is at the root of what led me to develop the FIC Safety Culture Framework. Here's why I believe our framework is beneficial: - It provides a structured way to evaluate safety culture across multiple dimensions, from organizational commitment to individual understanding. - We've paired the framework with an actionable process (Focus, Integrate, Cultivate) that helps bridge the gap between safety rhetoric and reality. - Our approach emphasizes the multifaceted nature of safety culture, recognizing that it's not just about rules, but about creating an environment where safety is woven into every aspect of operations. - It includes an assessment that measures employee and leadership sentiments and commitment to safety. - It helps organizations identify and address such gaps, preventing the kind of contradictions that inspired my poem all those years ago. https://lnkd.in/eDNYT7m7 #WorkplaceSafety #SafetyCulture #Leadership
