Unintended consequences need to be considered when making policy decisions. Gambling addiction has alway flown under the radar because its prevalence has been lower than other addictions. Plus, we dont get shocked by gambling overdoses. However, recent legalization of sports betting and the rush towards social acceptance is doing damage to many people. Federal Govt Announces Toxic Drug Abuse Treatment Fund #YaaraSaks, the federal minister of mental health and addictions, announces the launch for proposals for a new emergency treatment fund for communities to respond rapidly to address the toxic death and overdose crisis.
